Poor right now.
Went to this hotel on a stag do. Everything is basic and few bits of things need looking at to make it 3 star plus.

Unfortunately, my stay at the Marmara Hotel in Budapest was not nearly as good as I was expecting. Apart from the exceptional service checking me in and also in answering a few questions that I had, I felt unsatisfied:
1) The property was dated and needs a facelift.
2) The toilets did not flush properly, creating an inconvenience, which was very irritating.
3) The paid Breakfast was skimpy, had very few items to choose from and the staff not personable or welcoming. Their hours for Breakfast are also too short, only 3 hours whereas in the other 4 hotels I stayed in while in Europe, the hours were longer by at least 30 minutes.
Lastly, I went to get a cup of Coffee right at the 10am closing time and the staff had turned off the coffee machine and would not allow me to get a cup of Coffee. Totally unbelievable and in every other Hotel I stayed in, they did not start the closing process until every guest had finished Breakfast..

Great location, great value for money and helpful staff.
Great location, helpful staff and great value for money.
Breakfast is good, buffet style, kind of ordinary in meal choices, but we didn’t miss anything.
We took room with small balcony, room is good size and clean.
Beds are comfortable.
There is some wear and tear here and there, but we didn’t mind that, nothing was broken.
Number of TV channels is very limited, but we were out most of the day, so again no problem.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, they are the reason I give this place 5 stars, otherwise it would be 4.
