Nightmare in Budapest

It's a jail, if there's a fire someday, no one's saved. It's amazing that I'm licensed, it's only a matter of time before there's a tragedy. The person who is in reception, we only saw him on arrival.
Windows with bars and a single exit tmb with bars, no emergency doors, all rooms in a long tunnel with no exit other than the entrance door.
The "dining room" disgusting to more not able, all dirty in a basement of catacomb, with multitude of fans to dry the bedding (unchanged in 4 days).
It was a nightmare, I saw a drunk Russian smoking and I had to threaten to go to the police, xq if there's a fire, we die fixed.

Worst Hostel Ever.

Horrendous experience, do not book this hostel. The receptionist man was very creepy to us two young girls staying there, was very rude and scary when speaking to us. Worst customer service ever experienced. The room stunk of smoke it was unbearable and the windows were barred off so didn’t open for any fresh air in the 37 degree heat this august. The beds were rock hard and the sheets were dirty. The shared bathrooms were disgusting. The shower heads were broken, and the whole area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. The whole thing felt like a prison and it was an awful stay.

Central and close to Metro

We were in Budapest on the weekend of the Hungarian F1 GP and there was no free seat at "human" prices. Obviously if you go to a hostel with shared bathrooms and showers you can not expect 5-star treatments, but for one night is not an impractical solution. Definitely a nice advantage is the location, central and 5 minutes walk from the Metro.

Tragic.

Arrived to check in, no reception so ended up waiting around until someone turned up, asked for a double bed room and they gave us two singles, they said availability but it seemed more they couldn’t be bothered cleaning the rooms after people left as doors were left open with keys in and rooms left dirty and uncleaned. Furthermore the room given to us was riddled with a Smokey musky smell, opened the window and that smelt even worse.Asked to be moved and they did fortunately, then come night time, 2 of the other guests had a massive argument down the hall from reception and nothing was done from reception to help resolve or calm down so we were left to listen to this for a little bit, then soon after, an extremely intoxicated man in the room next to us began screaming, and yelling “ F you” etc and banging, went to reception and informed the man there, he went and knocked on, asked the man if he was okay and nothing more can be done, we had to ask him if this continued can we be moved, not much effort put in to helping resolve said situation other than an apology. Shared bathrooms were very dirty and the beds were rock hard

Stay away from this place !!

We arrived, they didn’t speak English and told us their own way that they were full
We told them we booked, they called their boss and had to prepare our room in 10minutes…
What can we say about deep hostel ? Terrible experience, it is not even clean. We stay for the first night because we have nowhere else to go but tomorrow morning we will go somewhere else as soon as possible
