Butterfly home a great find!
Fantastic find. Unbelievable location. Very friendly staff, enormous and very clean room. Superb breakfast. Loved our stay. Budapest is great.

B&B not very serious and unprofessional with its guests
I booked the B&B three
months in advance, and one day before traveling, they canceled it without any explanation. They were probably oversold or received a more interesting reservation. Obviously, they did not charge me anything, but with no time left, I had to go out and book something else in a very large city that I did not know.
BEWARE OF THESE UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL HOTELS

strategic for visiting the city
the b & b is located in a historic building, in the center, just opposite the central market and public transport stops. We chose the room with the bay window overlooking the square below and the beautiful Liberty Bridge that in the evening when it lights up is really a spectacle. The room was clean, the beds and pillows comfortable. The bathroom instead rather old and with the toilet drain quite noisy when flushing the toilet or using the water of the sink or shower but cmq was clean like the rest of the room. The staff is friendly and also speaks Italian. Breakfast is quite varied both sweet and savoury. The flaw of the room was the noise. It is not soundproof so you can hear the sounds of drains, the voices of people in the street, the tram passing by and the windows had a broken shutter so in the morning the light passed. If you have a light sleep equip yourself with caps and eye mask... so I slept well since , as already written, fortunately the beds were really comfortable!
One thing that could easily be fixed is some details that make the room lose some beauty. There were some slippers, certainly useful, but dangling or resting on the ground in front of the bedside table; it would be enough to fix them to the wall to make everything more accurate.
Overall I would recommend it since there are some flaws but my overall judgment is definitely positive.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had
This is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in.
First of all, the noise is unbearable. You can constantly hear everything from the neighboring apartments — toilets flushing, pipes rattling, and a washing machine running until midnight and sometimes even later. There is absolutely no sound insulation, and it is impossible to rest properly.
Second, we stayed for 5 days and 4 nights, and not once was the room properly cleaned. They only took out the trash. That’s it. The room was filthy, shabby, and extremely old. Everything looks worn out, neglected, and poorly maintained.
The owner is incredibly stingy. The breakfast is honestly embarrassing. The selection is ridiculously limited — just bread, cheese, and some very cheap canned food that smells bad. It’s obvious they keep putting the same untouched food out every single day just to make the table look “varied.” There weren’t even basic items like eggs. I ended up buying my own breakfast at a café downstairs because what they offer is simply unacceptable.
The balcony and the rooms look nothing like the photos. No flowers, no уют, no charm — just old pots with dry, yellow remains of plants. The pictures are clearly misleading.
I genuinely do not understand how this place has positive reviews and high ratings. After seeing other guests’ faces, it was obvious many were in shock. Some families I met didn’t even stay for one night — they left immediately. The positive comments simply do not reflect reality and feel completely misleading and I guess owner keeps putting them everywhere by himself.
This was an absolutely terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
