Welcoming staff, good location and cheap!!

Small yet homely feel throughout the hostel. Located conveniently with ability to walk everywhere. Staff were super friendly and Helpful. Price was super affordable and worth the spend.
We stayed in the private twin, which was clean and comfortable.

Very unprofessional hostel run by volunteers

I had bad experience there and they way the volunteer receptionist ( chandler) and the owner (Olga) deal with the matter was very poor.
First day I’ve met the guest in my room I mentioned that I’ll go to charity shop tomorrow.
Second day I came from the charity shop start to cook lunch. She was there with the receptionist. She asked me what did I do today. I told her and show her my new clothing. Told her I’m playing to alter some of them.
She told me don’t change anything. And on top yelled at me “it’s crazy” and 3 times “you’re crazy”
A few hours later when I was in my room she did it again. I immediately told her leave me alone and decided to complain
Chandler got panic told me I should move to another room as a punishment for her behavior.
Ask for my phone number to give it to the owner
I refused.
The owner came later to talk to me not even apologize. Just talked about. That maybe because I speak British English I got her wrong . How American dialect is different it’s my fault I didn’t understand her correctly . I told her that is notting to do with this if she was saying one time “ it’s crazy” and leave me alone I wouldn’t care. The fact the receptionist watched it and didn’t do anything it’s bad. She defended him “ his job is only check in /out”. She defended the guest telling me once she volunteered in hostel in Barcelona so her behavior is ok. I told her I’m working 10 years in hospitality both 5 starts ,2 stars and hostel.
Upon my checking out.
I’ve met the owner again after I couldn’t sleep that night. Told her yet again this behavior was not acceptable.
She told me the the receptionist was hiding from me wait for me to come to talk to him so “ he can apologize” I told her this behavior is not acceptable.
If something happened you should apologize to a guest. I’m a paying guest not his friend. If something bad will happen to you in this hostel they’ll say “ it’s normal “ don’t go there

Great location, friendly staff, welcoming

I enjoyed Budapest Bubble! The very best staff, Anna and volunteers, Abi and Spencer. I m over 60 but welcomed warmly. I joined in the Ruin bar outing without being out too late. Attended holiday celebration and joined in with group visit one evening.
Went out w group for Lagosh and market.
I extended my stay by 3 days because I felt so welcomed by great folks.
Anna is kind, helpful, and tirelessly either helping, chatting or working around the hostel.

Private room w/shared bath

Cute, cozy, and comfortable hostel. The staff, Ana, Brenda, and Andre were all extremely helpful with local tips and activities. It’s a smaller sized hostel, so easy to meet and chat with people. The private room was nice~ Thanks y’ll!

Not a hostel...

This place is just a mansion with a couple rooms and bunk beds. They kitchen is actually just a toasted and a couple hot plates- there's no room to prepare any real food. They allow people to smoke INSIDE where you enter meaning each time to leave or enter you walk through a terrible smoke smell- one of the toilets is also located there as well. There is no where to hang towels to dry- though it would be very easy to add a few hooks on the wall in the room. Only saving grace was the wonderful staff. Ana, Francie and one new English lad were very kind and helpful.
