Get room 101

Nimfi hotel is in a great location just off the beach.
Quite hotel with not too many rooms so can cater for everyone.
We are in the older part of the complex but the room is large with separate bedroom and wardrobe is in a corner all on its own .
Shower is fantastic and bathroom is perfect for our needs.
Bedroom is large with a super king size bed and so comfy .
Got to also add the amount of storage space around the room is fantastic.
Loving room has TV and 2 sofas and a chair and mini fridge with again storage space .
We are on b/b so the breakfast is great as they cater for all people's tastes and the setting in the open next to the beach is 4 star for me.
Cleaners do a great job every day .
Special mention for Christina on reception who answers any questions we have and helps with knowledge of the island.
Lots of supermarkets and eateries around us and the buses take you anywhere you want to go .
I am amazed we never visited skiathos and nimfi hotel before as there is so much to do ..
Booked 2 boat trips and we going to visit airport tomorrow to watch planes land and visit beach and cafe there ..
Doing 4 beaches on the buses in the next 2 weeks .
I see people moan about this hotel but let me tell you it's in a great location, has great staff, great pool area , great breakfast , beach on door step , bus stop outside to where you want to go , supermarkets all around us ..
Now me being a lover of everything cold you must get fridges with a freezer compartment as i love my really cold drinks but other than that I will be back next year..

This hotel was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in my entire life and I have traveled the world with both bad and good hotels. The worst thing was that the pictures are purely false marketing as they only show pictures and on a newer part of the hotel. We had booked a family room that I didn't even want to sleep in with a sleeping bag. One of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. It was tidy but it's so old and run-down it doesn't matter. Unfresh walls with dead insects and stains. I don't even know where to start. I wanted to cancel/cancel the stay but the hotel did not agree. We had already booked a family room for 4 nights and it was cumbersome to rebook to new accommodation and not get a refund. They had argued about charging an extra 15 euros per night for our four-year-old, and they wanted to compensate us by not charging that fee. This was despite the fact that I had paid for a family room for two adults and two children (aged 1 and 4), but the booking had gone wrong and they hadn't made it. I would have absolutely paid more if the hotel hadn't been a joke compared to the pictures they market themselves with. 0 truth in the pictures of the old part of the hotel. It was like ending up in a horror movie. If it hadn't been close to the beach which made it easier for us with children, I would have ignored the money and booked another hotel. I should add that some of the staff were nice and helpful, especially the girl who received us and was very warm in her way.

Wonderful trip

We arrived to a very warm welcome from Sofia and Nicos. Sophia was very informative the duration of our stay. A short walk to town which is a safe walk away from the road if you use the lane behind the hotel. We had a sea view room which was bright airy and kept clean. We were in the original hotel but we were pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
Third visit to skiathos and can’t wait to return. Pool a bit slippery on first step when entering just take your time. Location fantastic. Supermarket across the road is great. Breakfast staff all lovely and maids work so hard. Linen and towels changed every other day and room cleaned daily. Thanks to all the staff but especially Sofia and Nicos. He even came to say goodbye to us as our coach arrived to collect us.

Avoid the old block of Hotel Nimfi

My wife and I spent a week in the Nimfi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast/bar zone was near the beach with great food and drinks. The new extension block and and swimming pool were very impressive. We had booked a SUPERIOR sea view room. The room had a lovely sea view and the decor was moderate. However, our room was opposite the cleaner‘s station, three steps from the reception and about ten from the busiest road on the island. We were woken up at 7.00 every morning with noise at the cleaners station and the reception. The main door at the main road was always open during the day and we could always here noise from the it. We asked to change rooms and were told that the hotel was full. We asked the reception to pass on our disappointment to the manager but we never heard from him. This room (202) was in the old block and we cannot believe that it was called superior. We were very disappointed. In addition, there was no shade in the pool area as the sunshades were macrame and many were broken anyway. If you go to this hotel ensure you have a room in the new block.

Would stay here again

Would stay here again. Arrived late at night but staff there to check us in and make us feel welcome. Had a room in the old building but it was in good condition and decent size. Was nice to be able to jump in the pool or swim in the beach. Breakfast was simple but done really well, one of fav's on our travels. Location was really good too. Right on the beach, which has many taverna's and only a 10 min walk into the old town.
