Home from home!

Currently staying in the Makris apartments for the third time in three years. We absolutely love this beautiful, family run, place. The apartments all have that "traditionally Greek" feel and we always choose one with a balcony (in fact our current apartment apartment has two!) We really can't fault the place in terms of how the place is equipped, how clean it is kept and just how lovely Thomas and his family are. It actually feels like we're staying with our own family every time we visit! We'll doubtlessly be back again and we'd strongly recommend Makris to anyone!

Happy memories

Loved our stay last year. My reason for writing this review is not only to say thank you again but to let the owners know. The sunflowers have now started to bloom in my garden.
The lovely lady gave me a flower head as I was leaving and they are from their beautiful garde

FANTATIC PLEASE. BEAUTIFUL SEA VIEW

Booked for the day as was unable to keep room on so booked this hotel.
Stunning views, excellent place, everything you need, would recommend this place.
Did not sleep in the beds as only needed to be able to shower.
Right on the beach, lovely veranda to out and watch the world go by

This hotel is the biggest mistake of our whole life.

It actually deserves 5 stars. But after the negative experience we had, unfortunately I have to score badly. First of all, there is no bus from the airport. And we had to pay 90 euros for the taxi.
Very good location. Very close to the beach. But there is a dirty creek next to it. And if you leave the balcony door open, all the nasty flies and mosquitoes from that creek swarm into the room.
One night while sitting on the balcony, I closed the door to keep the flies in and unfortunately the door was locked. Despite all my efforts, I could not open the door and I had to sleep on the balcony with my pregnant wife. As a result of calling the given phone numbers many times, someone answered the phone around 2 am. I told him the situation, but he spoke to me in Greek and hung up on me. Then at 6 a.m. someone else picked up the phone and told me to be careful closing the door, which was pretty absurd. He told me he was away, that he would send his friend. And finally his friend came and opened the door at 7:30 in the morning. It was very bad for us that our holiday experience was so bad.
Then we asked how we could get to the airport for the return and they told us that we should take a taxi. When we asked if he could book a taxi for us, unfortunately we did not receive any answer. (Still no reply to my message.)
We booked a taxi on our own and were really glad to get out of there at the end of the day.
Extra: Since i wrote this negative review on booking, they asked me for an extra fee on the pretext that I did not comply with their policy in the room. A complete disgrace.
You will have made the biggest mistake of your life by staying there.

Heaven

Absolute gem! The comfy beds, the beautiful balcony & views! The hosts - wow, wow, wow! Mr Makris, his wife Sofia & their son Thomas - they made our trip so special. They are some of the friendliest and kindest people we have met. The location is great - we will be back.
