Georgia Apartments
Another great stay at our favourite place, a family run establishment, the apartments are great all have a balcony, cleaned everyday, all staff are very friendly, they go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. These apartments have a great little snack bar, location is brilliant, Spar supermarket close by a little home from home.

Could Use Some Improvement
Georgia Apartments are worth a 5 star rating for location… But that’s about all as far as the rooms go. Broken slats on beds, bed linen that doesn’t fit the beds and because there are no mattress toppers the sheets slide around all over the place. Cleaning isn’t a high priority for the staff from what we’ve just experienced, whether it be the cleaners not being given enough time or them just not doing the job is hard to tell! We arrived late (22:35) so just threw our bags through the door and went next door for food and drink.
Come morning it was obvious the room had not been cleaned properly between guests leaving and us arriving. The fridge was minging and smelly, and the bars across the inside of the door were missing, so no water bottle could be stored there. There was not a hint of chemical cleaner anywhere in the apartment. There was some kind of leak at the back of the toilet… I decided not to investigate any further! Also, the shower head has been dropped at some point and cracked the upper casing. This meant water came out in all directions and as such we could not fix it to the rail to shower hands free because it would spray water across the ceiling and the flush fitted lights.
As our stay went on, fresh towels seemed to appear most days, beds were tidied to a degree and bins emptied most days… The one day the toilet bin wasn’t emptied, the kitchen one was and a new toilet roll appeared on the outside window sill! There was no mopping done until our last full day… We were sat on the balcony part-way through packing when the cleaners arrived… Two of them! They mopped the shower room and the kitchen area and seemed to loiter a while… I call this “tip hunting” but they got nothing from us. There’s also a note in the room stating that blood or make up “stained” laundry cannot be washed and is charged at €15 per item… Not sure if anyone has been stung with this but I wouldn’t be recommending the laundry to anyone as none of the sheets looked that great!
The rooms have been updated sometime in the past but could do with another refurb. Only a few sockets in the whole apartment might be an issue for some. Luckily for us we have a USB charger that can charge up to 4 devices at once.
The steps from the first floor apartments to the bar area were very dirty with debris like soiled cotton buds etc. and these items remained on the steps literally until the last day of our stay. However, the bar staff were brilliant and again, worthy of 5 stars, in fact it was one of the lads who came up and cleaned our fridge out so we could use it. The food in the bar was really good and not expensive, everyone was very friendly and they did get tipped. The pool did look clean every day we were there but at no point did we see anyone doing any skimming of it etc.
So, in summing up, Georgia is cheap, so “you pays ya money and takes ya choice”. If you need a central location and are not too fussy about bedding and perhaps prepared to buy a bottle of bleach for the toilet and maybe some disinfectant wipes and spend 5 mins a day having a wipe around, fill your boots. If you want anything more, you really should look elsewhere.

Location great but everything else terrible
We’ve just returned from a 10-day stay, and I thought I’d cover the things I would have wanted to know before booking.
Additional costs: We paid €230 for two rooms, which covered air conditioning, the safe and tourist tax.
Rooms & kitchenette:
The rooms have either a double bed or two single beds, a separate bathroom, a kitchenette and a small balcony. Both of our balconies only received morning sun facing the pool.
The kitchenette had a sink, a small fridge with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a few knives and forks (which were dirty), two glasses and two cups. There was also a plug-in hot plate underneath the cupboard, but only one stewing pan was provided, with nothing suitable for actually cooking in. As this is advertised as self-catering accommodation, this was disappointing. Had I known beforehand, I would have paid extra for breakfast instead.
There was also no drainer on the sink, so there was nowhere to leave washed items to dry. We had to buy our own tea towel, sponge, etc. for washing up and hand washing.
Bathroom:
Unfortunately, the bathroom was by far the biggest issue. It was extremely dirty, to the point where we wore shoes in the shower. There was a constant leak around the base of the toilet, and there was visible build-up and grime in the shower and around the fittings.
We were also only provided with one toilet roll, and had to ask for more during our stay.
Cleaning:
The maids came in every day to make the beds and changed the towels every 3–4 days. However, this was essentially all they did. There was no sweeping or mopping during our entire 10-day stay.
There was hair and dust underneath the dressing table from previous guests which remained there for the whole duration of our stay.
Ants were also a problem. One evening we returned to find them crawling over one of the beds, and they were particularly noticeable in the bathroom as well.
Pool area:
The pool area also wasn’t particularly clean. There was a noticeable build-up of sun cream/oil around the entire edge of the pool. The pool and surrounding area were cleaned once during our stay, but unfortunately the scum and bubbles from the cleaning appeared to be sprayed into the pool.
Dirty ashtrays were often left beside the sun loungers, and there were orange pool floats left around the pool by previous guests which had turns orange from the dirty water. Be aware that the orange colour from the pool appears to transfer onto swimwear, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing expensive swimwear in the pool.
Food & drinks:
The food and drinks were okay. A can of Fanta was €2.50 at the accommodation, whereas the Spar next door sold them for €0.88, so we ended up stocking up there instead.
Staff & reception:
The receptionist was lovely, as was the barman. Reception is advertised as being open from 9am–5pm, although it sometimes closed earlier. Any problems outside of these hours had to be taken up with the manager, who arrived after 8pm each evening.
Late check-out is available until 5pm for €40 per room, although there was no availability for this during our stay as the accommodation was full.
There is also no lift, so if you’re allocated a top-floor room, be prepared for two flights of stairs with your luggage.
Location:
The location is probably the best thing about the accommodation. It’s just off the main strip, so everything is within easy reach. You can hear some noise at night, but nothing that we found particularly disruptive.
Would I return?
Unfortunately, no. Would I recommend it? Again, no.
The accommodation has a brilliant location and some lovely staff, but in my opinion it needs a thorough deep clean and a much higher standard of housekeeping. If the cleanliness and maintenance were improved, it could be a much better place to stay.

Location good. Hotel not!!!!
Location and the staff are the only good thing about this hotel. Rooms dirty. Especially bathroom and kitchen, they need a deep clean. Pool area dirty. All floors throughout the hotel filthy. Tried to say it’s because it’s peak season. We always stay peak season and 2 star hotels and always been clean.

Theft from room
Absolutely do not stay here . My son and his family attend currently there and have have a substantial amount of money stolen from their room . Management allege they can do nothing . Funnily theft took place after they complained. Passports left but money taken . DO NOT STAY HERE
