10 night relax
Arrived 3.30am Nikos was very helpful and showed us to our room. Room is basic but it is self catering had fridge/freezer utensils and basics to cook but we preferred to eat out. The onsite bar was reasonably priced all staff were helpful and smiling Nikos and Ornestothe pizza and snacks were huge portions. Plenty of sun loungers music by the pool which was clean. Room was cleaned regularly and towels changed. The bathroom with small shower was small I would have liked it bigger but water was always hot. Yes Corfu is known for mosquitoes but take plenty of spray. Place is right next to lots of shops and restaurants and we would look to come again met some lovely people and couples. It is what it is!
Firstly, let me say we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Meraki Kavos. It was a last minute Tui package, this was our first time visiting Kavos and we were not sure what to expect it once being the party town of Corfu. Whilst there were plenty of young ones there was also a mix of ages so being in our 60s we didn’t feel out of place. The Meraki is on a site with another hotel (Odysseus) which share a pool, the pool is lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds albeit old wooden saggy types, there is a tendency to leave your towel on the sun bed overnight but as most of the young ones don’t get up till later just move them, have to say mid August there was no problem getting a sun bed. Special shout out to Nessa the bar man who was helpful, and pleasant, the food was very good if a little pricey (breakfast excellent). The bar is open 24 hours and serves a wide range of drinks although the music can be quite loud at times. Yannis, the manager is great fun and very helpful just let him know if you need anything extra.
The accommodation is very basic and quite dated, (hilarious rude messages written inside the bedside cabinet) the bathroom shower is open with no sides (see photo) so the water goes everywhere but there is an additional drain built in to the floor and I found a mop at the end of the corridor so getting it dry wasn’t too difficult but the shower mat ended up saturated. Toiletries not provided or expected, but a free safe and hairdryer were. There is a massive lack of electrical sockets, only 1 accessible so bring an extension if you have several devices that need to be charged. The only other socket was in the kitchenette area and had a mosquito plug inserted, so we decided to leave that in situ.
Aircon free and excellent and daily cleaning service very basic (towels, toilet roll and a change of sheets mid week, rubbish removed, floors not cleaned all week) we found the housekeeping service a little late in the day for us and often had to go hunting for Clean towels. There’s a small kitchen (see photos) with very basic utensils (bring a dishcloth, sponge, washing up liquid and tea towel none are provided) WiFi was good and fast, only major downside to the whole apartment was the mattresses, quite thin, could feel the bed base through it.
It was generally quiet considering it’s on the strip apart from the odd time I heard party goers returning early morning and the guy who trundled the large bins past our balcony at 6.30am every day. Tui reps lovely and helpful no hassle or pressure to buy trips.
Finally don’t miss visiting the Agnes apartments behind the Meraki, it is the sister hotel on the beach (no sand,mainly rock) you can use their pool and bar, it’s cheaper and the sun beds are amazing(see photo)
All in all our needs were met, don’t come here with unrealistic expectations, we go to India frequently so tend to go with the flow, you’re booking a 2* hotel designed for young people to crash.
We would return if the price was right although might consider booking the Agnes instead

Go see spiros
Stayed at meraki apartments spotlessly clean located at the start of the strip ,go too Agnes hotel pool and bar it's great overlooking the sea and pool is walk in spiros owns the bar he will look after you a gentleman and the breakfasts are good and toasties burger all cheap would definitely recommend going to see spiros he will look after you

clean apartments, lovely place!
Location was perfect, in the centre of Kavos. There was an issue with our air con in our room, but the owner i think of the hotel, was so lovely, he sent someone to put a whole new air con unit in for us! Our room was so clean and all the staff around the pool etc were so lovely!

Lovely hotel great location the owner can’t do enough for you,basic clean a good base.
Late check was granted at €25 which we are very grateful for it was short but loved the hotel would we return Damn Right we would till next time thanks again to all the staff.
