Beautiful, traditional Greek family run hotel

Beautiful, old fashioned traditional Greek family hotel run by 3 older siblings and their very elderly father. Clean, very close to sea, beaches, shops and main strip Laganas. Kind and helpful people who run this hotel. Excellent value and convenient. To the people who write unnecessary bad reviews, shame on you, because you bullying this decent, hardworking family who live and work in this hotel and are set in their traditional ways. If you wanted fake, plastic holiday, there's plenty of those types of hotels to chose from in Laganas, so please do your research first and pay more (much more) and stay in those types of hotels. We will definitely be coming back to the beautiful Sydney hotel.

Hi has anyone actually stayed here this year as I’ve emailed and get no reply , is it near a canal , has it got bed bugs really ? How much for aircon ?

Great place with a fantastisch location and value for money!

It's a family owned Business and the people are very friendly. Bathrooms are quaint but overall its value for money. The Beach is just a few steps away and water activities too. Close to the Main road too for Pick-up or Buses. Efood App delivery food here. Clean and spacious rooms! Balcnies provide that extra cosy space. I would recommend it. It's Wörth it!

DO NOT GO!!! Me and my friend just went and we both got bitten alive, at first thinking it was mosquito bites but it was too many and have found out it’s bed bugs. You also have to pay for ALL the facilities such as wifi and air con and the fridge. It’s a scam. My house is now infested with bed bugs so thanks.

Our stay at Hotel Sydney was lovely, family run hotel with that vibe, so if you're looking for something on the quieter side of Laganas, it is perfect. 3-5 min walk from the beach, hotels with open to everyone pools and bars and a little shop.
Breakfast is simple but nice with bread, ham cheese and jam with tea or coffee and juice with a peice of fruit. Only thing i could say would be that an option of fruit would be good as we got a pear each day, but no biggie. Room is nice, had a fridge and aircon at €5 per day. No wifi but wifi in the main area of the hotel if needed. Only thing i could say about the room would be that it would be useful to have an extra bin.
Staff were friendly and polite.
Would stay again!!
Little mention of the bar next door too while I'm writing a review, Route 66, Jimmy is a friendly guy running his bar on his own with his dog, pop in for a quiet drink with him or some food, he's very obliging to everyone.
