Delightful quiet setting in lovely gardens, surrounded by mountains.

These cottages are delightfully set in quiet & lovely gardens about 1 mile from the town which is an easy walk, cycle or taxi ride away. They offer everything you might need, if not chat to Georgia the lovely & friendly hostess, along with her husband Thomas. We are so pleased we stayed here and not in the town, the surroundings, the wildlife, the flowers, the olive trees, it is all magical. About 20 minutes walk in the opposite direction to the town are the beaches of Gialiskari & Anidri, lovely, sandy and with a good taverna offering traditional food & drink. There is also a lovely walk or cycle ride up to Anidri village. We will be returning next year and are really looking forward to it. Thank you

Revisiting Palaiochora

We first stayed in Palaiochora 25 years ago and we’ve been several times since. It has a big place in our hearts - and this trip was very special to us.
We stayed at Olive Tree Cottages about 18 years ago so it was nice to find it had hardly changed at all. There are several cottages all arranged around a pretty garden very well cared for by Georgia, the owner. Our cottage, no 6, was simple but clean, with its own balcony from where you can see the sea. It has big olive trees right next it in which the cicadas are unbelievably loud!
It has air-conditioning but for some reason we were asked to keep it at 26 degrees.... still rather hot! The beds were firm and comfortable and the sheets fresh & cool.
There was lots of scampering around on our roof at night - never quite sure what was up there - but we got used to it!
The cottages are in very easy reach of the pebble beach, a 20 minute walk into town, and a short drive from our favourite Anidri beach. Two cafes in close walking distance.

Lovely spot

Just back from a lovely 4 night stay at Olive Tree cottages. Great to be staying amongst the olive trees and have the sounds of the odd goat and cicadas only a 20 minute walk from town. Lovely to walk back from dinner in town to see the dazzling night sky gradually reveal itself as you leave the street lighting of Paleochora. The cottages are well kitted out and have great views from the upstairs bedroom balcony. Pleasantly surprised to have two shower and toilet rooms. Georgia was very welcoming and friendly and provided us with lots of lemons and olive oil from the garden. Highly recommended.

Absolutely first rate!

These cottages are situated about 1.5km out of the centre of Paleochora in a very quiet area. Unless you like walking, car hire or taxi is suggested (a taxi costs €5 from the town centre). These cottages are superbly appointed, clean and decent with lovely local owners living on site. There is a wonderful garden area to enjoy and relax. If you want a really quiet and relaxing holiday away from the crowd, then this is the place to do - free Wi-Fi as well, but it only works in the garden area most times - but who cares? The views from the garden up to the mountains are exhilarating.

What an amazing find

My husband an I have being going to Paleochora for 10 years, and last year we found this gorgeous place. Georgia and Tomas are wonderful hosts, our accommodation was perfect and it hopefully won't be the last time we stay there. Our two weeks went by too quickly. We knew that we would need a torch and that it was a little way out of town, but not a problem. The gardens are beautiful and it's very quiet and peaceful. Thank you Georgia and Tomas for making our holiday perfect
