Very centrally located studios, very familiar, price performance more than fine

So the owner Mike is incredibly nice and helpful, we felt comfortable from the first minute. If there was a small problem, Mike was immediately on hand and helped. The studio is functionally furnished, the beds a bit too hard for my terms, the view from the terrace has made up for everything :-)))
Price performance more than o.k. - Excellent location, a few minutes to the old town or for dinner, perfectly. We are very happy to have met Mike, including his father - totally nice, just as you imagine hospitable Greeks. We would love to come back....

Roses

It’s probably my worst stay ever. Terrible mattress, the whole place is rusty, ac cable to nowhere(photo), flush sometimes working and some not, sunlight is always in the room and you can’t sleep, never stay here again.

Nice stay good city spot

Friendly family environment clean rooms nice view. Everything is close from the harbor, shops, restaurants. Excellent base of operations. The business is runned by a family that will make you feel like home.

On the Roof of Pigadia

I arrived in Pigadia at midnight and I was rescued by taxi driver Jiangos and my host Mike Alexiou. I stayed in the top floor bay facing apartment with a magnificent sweeping view of Pigadia (aka Karpathos town). The suite has two single beds adjoined, small functional bathroom with plenty of hot water, very cold mini fridge, stovetop and pans, utensils and a corkscrew. Just down the hill 50 meters is an excellent green grocer, supermarket, taxi station, ATM, souvlaki stand (Helen of Troy, a Madonna look alike often runs the cash register) and bakery provide you with all you need. Numerous coffee bars and tavernas line the avenue to the port. Toy Helleniko, an excellent seafood and traditional Greek restaurant is highly recommended. To Limani, a snack and coffee bar in the port is ably directed by Panagiotis and his amiable waiter Fotini.
Pigadia has many English speakers and an impeccable Archaeological Museum and is fun to wander. The hillside stairs will exercise your mind and body.
Roses Studios owner Dmitri and Rose will invite you in for coffee as they live on the ground floor. Their stories of life in Churchill, Manitoba will pique your interest! My price for 10 nights stay, I was off-season, totaled 260E with discount, an excellent value. If you are traveling to Pigadia, there are several hotels and private rooms, but for me a rose is a Rose Suites!

Inexpensive

The apartments are located at the top of an extremely steep hill. If you are lugging much, you might consider a taxi. The owners greeted us like family, and offered us refreshment. The room is extremely Spartan. It does have a balcony with a bit of a view, and a bathroom. The wiring wouldn't pass American standards, but we were there only one night. I liked the people, but wouldn't go back. For €25, you can't expect much.
