Brilliant Holiday

Just returned from a week at the Aegean. Travelled as a party of 6 . From the minute we arrived late on Sunday to the minute we left it was perfect. It is a traditional Greek hotel with a Beautiful setting. The rooms are basic with everything you need including a fridge and air con , spacious and clean. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast excellent. The pool is quite deep so kids need supervision. It is un heated as you would expect in a hot country and much needed after a warm day. What makes this hotel is the staff. They can’t do enough for you. They served drink and food despite us arriving very late, cleaned the rooms and pool every day. Accommodated food requests. Were super friendly and fun. Excellent BBQ night with Greek Dancing once a week, generally a very chilled and laid back atmosphere. Skalla Kallonis village is a 15 mins late flat walk with plenty of Tavernas with fab food and drinks at amazing prices with brilliant service. Beautiful harbour and beach..The resort is situated on marshland, it’s full of birdlife and a few insects but it is stunning . The hotel arranged taxis and helped with a trip to Molyvos 30 mins away. This is not a lively resort but a beautiful escape. Ignore 1 star reviews from ignorant people who didn’t research where they were going and made up a ridiculous untrue review when it didn’t suit them!!! It is fantastic value for money and 10/10 for relaxation.

Simply stunning!

We are leaving this glorious little place today, knowing we will definitely be coming back! Reading reviews prior to coming gave me reassurance, but seeing the place and experiencing its charm has made our family holiday simply perfect!
Lovely welcome when we arrived, clean, comfortable rooms, a great array of food for breakfast and lunch, an immaculate pool, beautifully kept gardens, and such a relaxed, friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff work incredibly hard and always have a smile, making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. It's a 10-minute stroll into town where we enjoyed trying a different restaurant each evening, and it's truly been stunning.
Recommend getting up and watching the fishermen coming in at 6am with their daily sardine catch, a lovely glimpse of local life that shouldn't be missed!
Car hire from Dimitris in town was easy and very reasonably priced.
We also recommend visiting Mantamados to see and buy pottery from the sixth-generation potters and visiting the monastery. It feels like you've stepped back in time and is a real privilege to experience. The drive through the hills is fascinating too, with beautiful scenery and traditional farming along the way.
Agios Ermogenis is a stunning beach to visit, with crystal-clear water and a lovely little taverna.
Mytilini is a must visit beautiful traditional buildings, full of charm for a capital city, and so clean.
All in all, we can't fault the week we've just had. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special, we will definitely be back!

Ideal location in the middle of the island and still at the beach

Rooms with a large terrace, renovated bathroom, very clean. Free parking, good breakfast. The Greek yogurt is delicious and artisanal (!). Admittedly, not many fresh fruits, otherwise there is everything. Skala Kallonis with several restaurants a 10-minute walk away, if that. Large beach nearby, lots of greenery around. The staff is very attentive and smiling. Once a week BBQ at the hotel, with professional dancers. Large pool, pool bar open all day. They even serve good meals at noon for those who stay 'at home'
Clientele mostly English and Dutch during our stay.
We recommend it!

Nice, relaxed hotel with very friendly staff.

Relaxed and friendly hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
For Greek standards a generous and varied breakfast.
Spacious room with enough closet space, but a somewhat dated and small shower. Nice terrace and lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds. Lunch menu with delicious dishes.
At 10/15 minutes walking distance the cozy village of Skala Kallonis with restaurants, ice cream parlor and coffee shop.
It is nice and central with plenty of sights.
Rental car is nice. Nice island.
In short: highly recommended!

Relaxation at last..!!

We had been searching for a more authentic Greek experience & we found it here. So friendly with genuine hospitality. Lovely quiet location with reasonable views of the estuary. Aprox 12 mins slow walk to the harbour area & a few very nice restaurants. We hired a car for three days & saw pretty much the whole island, its lovely everywhere. Enjoyed the Petra & Molivos area also. The hotel pool was really nice & plenty of sunbeds despite a few hoggers. Room dated but comfortable & good aircon. If we come back to Lesvos & Skala Kallonis, then we'll stay here again!
