Very loud

The place is very clean and the staff is really nice. Downside they don t really speak english and the place is very loud. When we staied the were alot of kids and old people that woke up at 07:00 and kept making noise till 11:00 when they went to the beach I suppose. They have a bar and offer breakfast from 8 to 10,coffe,juice and beer at a reasonable price. The church is very near and the bells wake you up on sunday morning but it s not as bad as the loud kids and old grandmas chatting on the terrace right at our window.
Free wifi but very slow.

Construction noise due to the building of an outdoor pool.

We (12 people) have stayed at this accommodation for the fourth time during a booked fitness vacation from May 31 to June 4, 2026. So far, we have always been satisfied with it. Clean, tidy rooms and always friendly staff. Small issues in the rooms could always be resolved immediately. However, this time our stay was greatly affected by constant construction noise due to the building of an outdoor pool, which is already shown as completed on Booking.com and can be booked at the accommodation. On the first day, we were awakened by the construction noise at 6:30 AM. By 8 AM, we were outside the guesthouse for morning exercise and returned for breakfast around 10 AM. There was also ongoing construction noise during breakfast. This was the case on all subsequent days as well. One looks forward to the vacation and thinks one can relax and enjoy the peace and nature, but whenever we were in the guesthouse during the day, there was construction noise. When we returned from our excursions around 10:30 PM and wanted to wind down as a group, we were asked to be quiet since there should be peace starting at 11 PM.
This was all very annoying for us.
Feeling at home in luxury in Khao Lak.

Value for money and good location

Nice big and quiet rooms with nice view, convenient location between Kavala and Xanthi, friendly staff and value for money. Also clean area and nice heating rooms in the winter. For what you pay is a very good choise.

the best surprise find of my life

We stumbled on this property, as we were travelling east towards Alexandropouli.
Magical is the best description. The lower level is a medieval grand reception area,
with armory and chairs. The two towers, (yes, two) have one bedroom in each, 22
sq meters, a great bathroom, and all the refinement touches you'd expect.
The icing on the cake is the breakfast, served in the open area between the two towers. Homemade everything. The view from above is breathtaking, and the lady of the house is the cherry on the icing. Comfy bed, night light, HOT water, quiet toilet.
all my wife and i needed was a couple of swords to play in the "veranda".
You'll be 20 years younger here.
