Quite and Good Place

I visited the hotel with a tour group. It is located on a quiet street. I was not disturbed while sleeping. Since it was summer, I was able to sit comfortably on the terrace. All the staff answered my questions politely. The only downside is that it is far from the city center, despite its quiet location, but I already knew that.

Hotel Platon. Budget friendly.

The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. . The rooms in the new wing were small, clean, dark and quiet, Which I like.
It was a trek to the city center. While we were in Athens, we needed to catch a cab to our hotel, and a cab driver wouldn’t take us, he told us to take the train. Which took around an hour.
It was a great local feel , we went to a few restaurants around the hotel that were delicious. We felt very safe. It was worth the money.

Ok if on a budget

Just about acceptable if on a budget as room was clean, beds comfy, excellent coffee at breakfast, staff friendly and drinks cheap. BUT so many reasons that we would not stay again. Very dated miserable looking decor, bathroom got flooded when shower used, no english tv stations, air con very noisy and not very effective, nicotine smell all about (no non smoking rooms in the hotel), and no ‘atmosphere’. I was bemused to order a gin and tonic and be told they didn’t have a slice or of lemon to put in it. A basic hotel that felt a bit joyless, but I am still giving it 3 stars because for the low price, what do you expect ? ? If you are in a strict budget and you don’t expect anything at all fancy, its perfectly fine. But for us, next time we would pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

A Very Nice Hotel in a Quiet Area

A very nice quiet hotel less than a 10 minute walk from the Metamorphosis train station. Try to stay in the new wing, where the rooms are a bit bigger. Very good breakfast buffet including scrambled eggs, sausage and a variety of cereal, cold cuts, cheese and pastries. The staff are friendly and we felt safe. Just a few metro stops away from the center of city. You can take the train from the airport to the Metamorphosis station. Each ticket is €10, so depending on the number of passengers a taxi might be a better alternative. The taxi from the hotel to airport cost us around €30.

low budget hotel

The stay in this hotel was strange - good room not perfectly cleaned...(some remarks in the bathroom)
As far not a surprise but in the morning I was a little shocked from the breakfast - at first sight plenty of choices but in fact not...some deserts that were not even moved to fridge for a week (my stay there), 2 types of croissant (but from a big pack from a store) same situation with all cake type deserts...
The "warm" part was only scrambled eggs but they are not really warm.... everything else was salami yogurt and cornflakes. I just forgot to mention that there was some boiled eggs but when I was them they looked very suspicious so I avoid them....
In general you can avoid if possible this low budget hotel. The location is also not so good - far from everything in case you wanna walk. The center is 30min travel with train that is on every 20-30min schedule.
