Words of recognition to the staff for their superb hospitality
A group of us stayed for 10 nights at Crystal Palm and from the first day that we arrived we were gladly impressed with the service that we received: all employees are professional, courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The food in the hotel (especially the breakfast – buffet style with a rich selection of items) was outstanding, healthy and delicious. The chef is very competent and deserves a compliment.
Available amenities like conference area, swimming and fitness center, restaurant. The highlights are for the superb customer service we had in this hotel.
Cheerful and reliable staff. Vivian and Rita have demonstrated excellent leadership skills. Samuel, Vic, Cath, Hilda, Forse, Ben, Fortune, and Emmanuel were extremely helpful and responsive to solve any issue.

Terrible - don’t stay here !!!
We were chased every day sometimes twice a day for more money they couldn’t decide how much they wanted us to pay.
The menu was a dream menu as 90% of the good wasn’t available. Once we complained, they hated us and didn’t hide that fact. In the end, we had to leave and go to another hotel.
Whilst we were promised a 50% discount, we only received 25%
Wi-Fi is impossible.

What a delightful stay ....a 5* hotel rated as 2 *
I have been put in the Crystal Palm Hotel because it is close to work, and have stayed in hotels in Ghana before. Here I have found a 5* 2* hotel, that is easy beyond value for money. To many people complain that they get 2* service for 5 * expectations. The menu is great, tasty and reasonable. More than you would expect from a 2 * establishment. The rooms are clean, the water runs and the aircon works. THAT is not 2 * in my books .. confidante, reasonable, liveable, stay able... gets 5 * in my books for a 2* rating

Clean and comfortable
Local arrangements had been made with the hotel for an airport pickup and this worked well.
On arrival at the hotel I was quickly checked in and shown to my room. The room was comfortable and clean, though a bit dated. Air-condition worked well. The shower in my room looked like some sort of futuristic cryo-chamber, but worked OK (with selection of various spray nozzles) – other rooms don’t necessarily have this. The bed had a very firm mattress, though I didn’t mind it. There was a study desk, wardrobe (with safe that did not work), dresser, and chairs/table in the main room, with separate sitting room with kitchen area – it seems that I may have ended up with a suite?
For breakfast there were cold and hot options, and lunch and dinner were menu based, though it appeared that not everything on the menu was available.
We used the conference facilities for a four-day workshop, and usual facilities such as projector were available from the hotel. The conference room was locked by security guards when we were at lunch.
The laundry service was very efficient and affordable – I usually dropped laundry off in the morning and had it back by lunchtime or mid-afternoon.
There is also a pool with bar area which is ideal for a drink after work. A gym did not appear to be part of the hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay.
With respect to location, this hotel is located in a pretty quiet residential area. Which is great for a conference, but not necessarily if you’re holidaying. However, a trip to North Ridge say, should cost about 20-30 GHS, while a trip to the airport might be 70 GHS (I’m unsure who much my prearranged airport transfer was). I would suggest you agree on a price before getting into a taxi.

Don't even think about it
Booked in by a company to stay 4 nights in September as I was a UK speaker at a training course being held in the (barely adequate) conference area of the hotel.
To put my comments in context I can say that I have stayed in all classes of hotels in many international locations (certainly in over 40 countries) for pleasure and business and I am reasonably laid back when it comes to travel.
The only positive things I recall were that the basic single room was clean and the Wi-Fi generally worked.
The food was simply dreadful and limited. Breakfast was a joke. Coffee was Nescafe from a sachet.
No internal public area to sit in other than a small reception.
The modest sized pool was only half full of water and the surrounding area was under maintenance (grouting etc.). Unusable while I was there.
One small external area (the 'Pool Bar'!) from which you could watch the workers.
Hotel unable to change foreign currency.
I'm afraid I can't waste any more of my time on this hotel - you have been warned.
