Mountain lodge
The rooms are basic, but clean, with nice atmosphere and mountain view from the balcony. Bathrooms were really ok with warm showers.
We stayed 3 nights, found the staff extremely friendly, the food excellent and very reasonable. One night for 5 people in 2 big rooms with breakfast were 320 Lari.
The guesthouse organized horseriding, which was very nice. The only thing: bike hire was costly for 60 lari per day for a worn out mountainbike in severe need of service.

Nice guesthouse in typical Dartlo-house
Basic (but good showers!) but a good place to stay, to walk and to go horsebackriding.
Good for a stay when you are hiking from Omalo to Shatili

Spartanische Zimmer, Touristenabzocke
Das „Samtsikhe“ besteht aus mehreren Holzhäuser, in denen die Gästezimmer verteilt sind, keines davon ist mit Dusche/WC ausgestattet. Dusche/WC gab es in unserem Holzhaus im Erdgeschoss. Unterhalb der Gästehausanlage befindet sich ein Restaurant/Café mit einer guten Auswahl in der Speisekarte (wovon es aber in Wirklichkeit nur die Hälfte gibt), zu normalen georgischen Preisen.
Wir hatten über booking.com ein Zweibettzimmer mit Balkon reserviert, welches nach Beschreibung folgendermaßen „ausgestattet“ war: „Badewanne, WC mit Haltegriffen, Heizung, Telefon, Bügeleisen, Ankleidezimmer, Schrank, Klappbett, Essbereich, Toaster, Grill“. Alles davon reinster Humbug! Im Zimmer gab es lediglich durchgelegene Betten mit stark miefender Bettwäsche, sonst nichts, nicht einmal ein Handtuch. Nachdem aber in der im Erdgeschoss gelegenen Dusche ohnehin zu wenig Wasserdruck für die Dusche war, war das Handtuch nicht notwendig.
Nach Angaben des Vermieters kann man sich Frühstück und Abendessen für 15 Lari (ca. 5 Euro) bzw. 25 Lari (8-9 Euro) zum Zimmerpreis dazubestellen (ist bei booking.com nicht inkludiert!), was aber bei dem Restaurantbetrieb mit Speisekartenauswahl nicht notwendig ist. Zu erwähnen sei noch, dass normale Gästehäuser in Tuschetien pro Person 50-70 Lari verrechnen (Bett inklusive Frühstück und Abendessen).
