As a family

Effective check-in. Cleanliness of the room. Parking available.
Family breakfast with real coffee, real croissant...
Just one regret not having the opportunity to go north more often.

Practical

A cheap and well located hotel in Valenciennes. Parking is convenient if you come by car.
The room was comfortable and spacious, however the heating works when there is time.
The breakfasts are OK and the welcome is good.

To avoid

Very small room, barely clean. Water leak in the toilet, repaired tomorrow. Very worn furniture.
No soundproofing. You can hear everything from the other rooms.
Station area, so very noisy at night.
I will not come back.

Unexpected welcome

Excellent welcome, good advice for discovering the city and, most importantly, loan of a forgotten iPhone charger!
For breakfast, a baker's croissant, fresh bread and a good coffee.
All for a little over €60... It's difficult to find such value for money in France!

Quiet, very comfortable bed

I liked: Closed to the train station. There was a supermarket just across the street. Several restaurants found in the area. Main touristic attractions at walking distance. Football stadium not that close, but easy to get by metro or even by walking. Fast check-in and check-out processes. The room was ready as previously reserved; I got a comfortable room (No 27), though a small one. Good bed for a sleep. Good TV signal with several channels. Bathroom ample and clean, hair dryer and toiletries available. Very good breakfast: yogurt, orange juice, bread, croissant, butter, marmalade, cookies, fruit sauce and hot beverages. Gentle people on duty.
I did not like: Wi-fi signal very weak in room, very good at the reception area though. No minibar nor no safe box available.
