Perfect !

Very welcoming. Very clean and comfortable room. Very quiet place to relax. A delight!
Dinner is offered, we didn't take advantage of it but it's very nice. I recommend without hesitation ;-)

Exellent service

This was my first day on the Gr10 in 2017, and I had forgotten to bring sunglasses. There are no shops, but the patron gave me his! They also served an exellent supper, during which they kept me company and toldme about the village and its history. And then the clean, comfortable room. Cancela is a pearl in the Pyrenees.

Walking In pyrenees

Stayed here while walking the GR 10. Just stayed for one night but the couple who run the place were so welcoming that the meal we enjoyed together was one of the highlights of our time in the Ariege.

Excellent B&B

We chose this B&B because of its close proximity to the Niaux Cave. We are glad that we did. The room was large enough for two people and had a private bathroom, a small frig, a large TV (with a couple of English channels), a coffee maker (with coffee, tea, sugar, etc.), and a table for writing and computer work. Then entrance to the room was independent from the owner’s access to the main part of the house which provided privacy. There is a large pool but we did not use it, choosing instead to walk through the tiny village and the countryside. Breakfast was excellent – homemade breads and rolls, homemade jams and jellies, local cheeses and meat. The owners were friendly and helpful, making suggestions on sites/caves to see in the area. We’ve stayed in many B&Bs in Europe. This was one of the best.

Lovely room in main house, the owners were very friendly, helpful and generous

We were just staying overnight on the way south to Spain.
The owners also have two Gites, but we stayed in their guest room in the main house.
The room had everything we needed including a decent sized fridge, handy for storing things in. There was free Wifi and a god sized flatscreen TV with multiple language channels available.
Lovely views, and on the afternoon of our stay, the via angers took all the sheep up to the high pastures past the accommodation, which was a charming rural experience
There is an outdoor pool , not heated so a bit cool in early June, but probably warm enough from July onwards.
Our hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful, even picked some cherries for us and served them around the pool.
Nearest restaurants are about 10km away in Tarascon, recommend Maison D'Agnes
Would thoroughly recommend staying at Maison Cancela
