Excellent in the center, valid room

The hotel is excellent if you do not have a car, because it is pedestrian-only. Our room was excellent, sufficiently large (but ENOUGH with the shower curtains!) quiet, and the bed was wide. Access by elevator is very complicated. Property not accessible to disabled people.

Superb

What a nice hotel! Very comfortable. A warm welcome. A gargantuan breakfast buffet.
The hotel is ideally located in the center of Rouen where everything is done on foot.

Convenient, quaint, stingy

Went here with my wife on a vacation trip to see the French countryside. Location is very near cathédrale.
It is quiet and off the Main Street, and close to Cathedral
Breakfast area is quaint, with an outdoor garden
Rooms are clean and well kept. The hotel seems to be a series of buildings that are interconnected, so getting to your room is a fun (daily) adventure.
Cost is reasonable, but breakfast is an up-charge and there doesn’t seem to be any afternoon/evening food or drink.
The morning desk manager is very stern and stingy. I asked for an extra towel, got a lot of huffing and was reluctantly given one. Brought my own bag of cereal and yaourt for breakfast and only wanted a cup of coffee, was questioned and documented as if I was taking out a mortgage loan. Coffee was not very good (been sitting in carafe, on the warming plate for an hour or more and tasted like a cheap American roast), but it was coffee… oh, and don’t go for a second cup or you get the super-stink-eye.
Breakfast and morning coffee should be a warm, inviting, communal event to start your day… not an inquisition. Also Coffee should be free, it’s coffee.
The hotel cat is friendly and cute (warm and inviting) and greets you every morning.

Needs refreshing

Pleasant staff, breakfast room very poorly arranged, dusty rooms, tiny bathrooms, no wardrobe, well-located hotel but in dire need of refreshing (remove the stinky carpets, the courtyard could be clean and pleasant, rearrange the breakfast room, remove unnecessary decorations, buffet and table placement)

Great location, not very comfortable rooms

Upon entering room 12bis I immediately had an uncomfortable feeling and thought about the 4 nights I was supposed to stay here. It was quite gloomy with the white curtain drawn and smelled unpleasant of mothballs or mustiness. I set out to buy an essential oil straight away, but found none, Rouen is not
Provence.
The room has no closet, just a niche with shelf and hanger. The shower is old and abundantly brute, the toilet hidden in a kind of closet.
Just above and next to my window, a pigeon sits on the totally dirty ledge and crouches.
After 8 o'clock, I sometimes heard a noise like a rolling suitcase until midnight. Before and after it was totally silent. Who else rolls a suitcase around at this time???
The breakfast room is nice, the offer pleasing.
I appreciate the old walls, the lovingly playful decor, but I don't like the traces of wear. Beautiful courtyard, fantastic location right next to the cathedral.
