Unworthy of a three-star rating

Moldy smell upon our arrival, wallpaper and carpet that are worn out.
Sewage odors in the room, a 31-inch round shower stall with a plastic curtain that reminded me of services from the last century in second-rate hotels.
I strongly advise against it!

Decrepit and dirty hotel: the "charm of the old" does not excuse everything!

A hateful experience in an old and charmless hotel. It smells like moisture. The furniture is obsolete, the carpet is worn. Curtains do not go to the floor, windows have simple glazing, light from the hallway passes under the door: the light insulation is poor and there is no sound insulation. The bedding is ok but we sleep very poorly due to the passage of guests in the hallway, the noise in the courtyard and the vacuum cleaner in the room below at 2am.
In the bathroom, a smell of pestilent pipes; no bar to hang towels, nothing to hang his clothes, no tablet to put his toilet bag.
The only advantage of this hotel is its central location. But it needs a serious renovation. The so-called "charm of the old" does not excuse everything!

Ideal location

Very nice location, close to the city center. Private parking at the price of 10€ is convenient and the price is correct. The room was spacious and very clean. On the other hand, a damp smell can be uncomfortable for some. Moreover, the room does not seem heated, but we did not dare to use the existing radiator. Breakfast is plentiful and there is a sweet and savoury choice.
I conclude this opinion with a special mention for the welcome which was very warm. We will return to this hotel which has a soul and is not sanitized like some existing groups.

Can do better

Very well placed and competent and welcoming staff. Basic but decent breakfast.
On the other hand the condition of the building is really to be reviewed, freezing and wet rooms.
Thermal insulation not at all to current standards. Moreover after 3 nights spent in this hotel, my clothes smelled moldy: a first..
I sincerely believe that work is needed to accommodate travellers. I won't be staying there anymore.
