Located in the historic center of Pau, just a 5-minute walk from the Château de Pau, the Hôtel de Gramont dates back to the 18th century. The hotel offers a refined and authentic setting along with a billiards/games room.

COMFORTABLE AND MODEST HOTEL FOR A TOUCH AND ESCAPE

The structure is located in a great location: near restaurants / supermarkets and a large parking lot where you can park the car; we were lucky enough to park it right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast buys at the hotel, has a cost of 12/13 euros per person and there is a buffet where you can choose both sweet and savory (both drinks and food).
The downside of the hotel is that the bed for people 1.85/1.90 cm tall is short: my heels came out.
Also there are no sheets: only 2 blankets which in terms of hygiene is not the best.
The decor of the hotel is a bit dated
I recommend it to those who have to stay only 1 maximum 2 nights, if you want to spend a reasonable amount

We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time stayed for 2 nights and the room was nice and cool, very big, good internet. Bathroom was clean except around the drain in the sink it looked moldy. The second time we stayed it was a big downgrade. The room was very hot. They did fix it but wasn’t cool until the middle of the night and the bathroom seemed very unclean. The stopper was out of the sink and moldy and the floor looked gross and dingy. The second stay was not a 4 star experience so be careful of the room you get.

OK hotel

OK hotel in the outskirts of central Pau, located at a very busy square and street.
Our room was spacious (suite), but we did certainly NOT have any suite feeling, it was just two connected rooms one being a tiny sleeping room with a narrow double bed (160 cm), windows were small and in floor level (!).
Windows are poorly soundproofed, so you are disturbed by traffic noise most of the night.
It is very hard to describe a feeling, and you more feel than sense that the hotel is a bit shabby and outdated, as the hotel on the surface appears clean.
The breakfast was OK (France is certainly not known for sumptuous breakfasts), but here was a little bit of the most essential - except English breakfast.
The staff is nice and helpful but at the same time a distant and not-smiling.

1 star hotel, no more.

The only advantage, the location everything else does not deserve a 4 star rating.
Cleaning not done, this is not a 4 star hotel, campanile or IBIS it is better for the cleanliness and quality of the rooms.

Hotel right, but not a 4 star hotel

The hotel is very well located, in the center and close to everything.
The rooms are fine, but the hotel is old, in need of renovation. It's not a 4-star, it's a 3-star. Overall it's all clean, although we had a fridge in our room that was dirty.
Breakfast is a mess: scarce, and they take a long time to fill things that are running out. He has no options for celiacs, we were going with a celiac person and he
The first day he was contaminated by cross-contamination and the second day he had to buy something at the super.
The service at reception is good.
