Stay in Villa Lutece

We have been in the hotel for 9 days. Quiet, very clean, good air conditioning (outside temp. was 36-39 C). Staff very friendly and competent. Close to metro station. After check out we left our luggage and when we came to pick them up we could use hotel restroom. When we come again to Paris we will choose this hotel again. We are very satisfied.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Terrible... I am attaching photos of the conditions of the room and the bathroom. Additionally, the minibar did not cool. After 4 days, we had to ask for a change of sheets ourselves. We had to ask every day for coffee capsules in the room. Finally, after 9 AM, breakfast was not replenished.

Not a 4-star hotel...

Honestly, I’ve never seen that before.
Newly arrived in Paris we enter this hotel when the Welcoming Hostess of a certain age does not look at us, does not smile at us, does not say hello and simply says: "See with my colleague there." A good start.
We enter the room, a very strong smell of humidity, no wonder when leaving the shoes and seeing that the floor is soaked and that the different corners of the room that are connected with the bathtub of the bathroom are soaked and moldy. Unidentified stains are present on the walls, I prefer not to know what it is. I had seen a comment on it but it’s true, it’s a hotel that makes you maniacal.

Tiny rooms, "antique" decor, very ugly view of dilapidated roofs, nonexistent soundproofing (you can hear the conversations of the occupants in the neighboring room).
Comfortable bedding
Impeccable bathroom
Cleanliness is acceptable
Breakfast is decent, but those who come later will find no bread (anecdote: 2 egg cups for everyone).
The hotel bar is not operational.
The hotel's location is ideal for getting around Paris by public transport)
Paid parking 500m away
