Hard to fault

An very hotel located in the diplomatic and fashion area a few doors down from the American Embassy and around the corner from the Elysees Palace (French President’s residence) - so lots of security in the street. Good sized rooms and bathrooms (albeit shower in the bathtub) and excellent service. The bar and restaurant were also excellent and worth utilising. I experienced power problems and lost TV one day. Otherwise getting a bit dated, but hard to fault.

Cleaning crew and concierge were amazing and super helpful. The check in team was horrible and not helpful at all. Even after multiple request from me in advance stating I was traveling with young children they still neglected to give me connecting rooms. Ac in the room didn’t work and even after multiple request nothing. They sent us fan finally which is ridiculous considering what we paid per night.

Modestly equipped gym. Hallways and room down market for a Sofitel. Temperature of common areas a bit warm. Performance of AC poor - even after the heat wave was long gone.

It was very good 15 years ago but is significantly older today despite the location and the prices being too high.

The hotel needs to be completely renovated, starting with a complete overhaul of the cleaning staff. Toilet bowl

Disappointing stay during a heatwave — broken AC and dirty bathroom

We stayed at the Sofitel Paris Faubourg Saint-Honoré during a heatwave with temperatures around 40°C, and unfortunately our experience was far below what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel.
The air conditioning in our room simply did not work, making the room unbearably hot for the entire stay.
On top of that, the bathroom was in a shocking state when we arrived: the floor and walls were covered in dirt, and black/dirty water came out of the pipes.
For the price we paid, we expected basic comfort and cleanliness, and got neither. Very disappointed

Please trust, the inconvenience you encountered are certainly not representative of the standards of cleanliness and attention to detail that we strive to provide to all our guests.
Regarding the air conditioning, we would like to clarify that our system was operational and was not out of service. However, during the exceptional heatwave experienced in Paris, the cooling capacity was impacted by the municipal district cooling network that supplies our area. The hotel was unfortunately unable to generate additional cooling beyond the capacity available at the time. Nevertheless, we fully understand the discomfort this may have caused and regret that your room temperature did not meet your expectations.
Please rest assured that your comments have been shared with the managers concerned for review and follow-up. The experience you describe does not reflect the level of comfort and service we aim to deliver.
