Watch your deposit
WATCH OUT — they charged me for breakfast even after staff told me twice it was included.
At check-in, the receptionist clearly told me breakfast was included — I even asked her to double-check because the paperwork said otherwise, and she confirmed again. After I got home, EUR 70 was deducted from my deposit for breakfast anyway. When I complained, the hotel just pointed to the written rate and ignored the fact their own staff told me the opposite in person.
On top of that, I got charged for a bottle of water I never touched — the hotel even has a free water dispenser, so why would I pay for one? Their only "proof" was housekeeping saying they noticed one missing. No checklist, no photo, nothing.
I've since seen other reviews here describing similar thing — deposit deductions after checkout for breakfast or extras they weren't warned about, with the hotel refusing to refund. Double-check your deposit after checkout, and get everything in writing at check-in.

Terrible
This hotel is in a good location and the lady at the front desk is friendly but that is as far as it goes. I arrived to find the twin room we had booked to be a double not a twin. They did remake the beds but it was disappointing the room was not ready as I had specifically requested a twin. We paid for a superior double but it was very small with nothing that made it superior at all. The worst part is they debited my account without permission for a water bottle they told me I could keep. They probably meant you can keep it if you pay for it, but they didn't tell me that part. I complained but they wouldn't reverse it. This was a $30 for used water bottles. It was an absolute rip off. I would not stay with them again. There are better hotels in Paris. A three night stay was over $1400 not worth it at all.

Disappointment
Room small, bathrobes have lost their softness, value for money not interesting. Will not renew this experience.

Visit honest hoteliers, so not here.
Advice: avoid booking a non-modifiable rate.
I booked three rooms for two nights (over €400 per room per night). When I realized that one of my colleagues had already made a reservation on his side, I immediately called the hotel to cancel the extra room (the extra room was blocked for only 2 hours). Unfortunately, no assistance was possible over the phone as the receptionist did not want to take any initiative.
The next day, during check-in, the present general manager informed me that the reservation was non-modifiable and non-cancellable, and that no refund would be granted (without even looking me in the eyes while speaking).
I asked her if I could speak with the manager, but she replied that she was not present and that it would not be possible to meet her. I later discovered that she was the general manager herself (thanks to LinkedIn). Rather than taking responsibility for her decision and discussing it openly, she preferred to lie to me. What sadness and cowardice.
In total, we spent over €3,200 at this establishment. I fully understand the principle of a non-refundable rate, but in the face of an error reported immediately and a room that remained unavailable for only two hours, a minimum of commercial flexibility would have been appreciated.
The rest of the staff, on the other hand, were very friendly and professional. Good luck to them; it must not be easy to operate in such a context, and with a "Director" with so little scruple and professional conscience.
With an international clientele around Madeleine, you bring shame, Madam, to all Parisian hoteliers who, in their vast majority, do their work with passion and integrity.

Unsafe hotel experience
A hotel worker unlocked and entered my room at 11:30pm to retrieve a clothes iron. Apparently there is only one iron in an entire hotel and they will enter your room unannounced to retrieve it. This is not a safe hotel.
