It was an amazing property and experience. The hotel is located in an excellent part of Paris, you can walk anywhere, it’s safe, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. It was better than I expected! Great for solo travelers. Would stay there again given the opportunity!

This small hotel is a gem. It is located in a quiet, central district (Diplomatic).
THe room are well appointed and small. The A/C worked great. The staff was very helpful.
Bring your own washcloth, as they are not supplied (frequent in small European Hotels) They have a small elevator for use.
It was nice to have a good Continental Breakfast on the property in a lovely garden space. I highly recommend this charming hotel.

This is a beautiful little hotel on a quiet street. The staff were always available and friendly. The only reason I did not give them an overall excellent rating is that the air conditioning in our room was bare bones minimum during the heat dome last week. The room we stayed in was large; beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice, but the shower needs to be redone. Dangerous getting in and out and water goes all over the floor and counter. Breakfast was great for a day of site seeing. They do not have lunch or dinner. This is a great place for couples or business, but I would look elsewhere for a family.

Below Average Experience
Everyone who worked here was extremely kind, but the quality and cleanliness of the room was below average. The room is very outdated, which I could be okay with if it was also clean and everything worked correctly. Almost every day after the bed was made, I found little hairs in the sheets and in my pillows that were not anyone in my family. There was mold in the shower and all over the walls (peaking out from under the wall paper). The safe never opened for me to be able to use it. The only thing keeping this from being a 1 star review was the kindness of the staff.

Charming Hotel in Great Location
Hotel de Varenne is in a wonderful location, with a charming courtyard garden entrance. The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities necessary for a good experience. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, and the morning breakfast service really good!
