Overall it was fine!

Overall, the stay was fine, but personally I’d rate this as a 4-star hotel, similar to a lot of the other reviews I read when I was looking at booking it. We booked the deluxe room, size was good. Bath is a little odd lol.
For me, it didn’t quite feel 5-star, mainly because of the standard of the room and bathroom. With a 5-star hotel, I’d expect a higher standard than what we found. The shower also has a funny smell and it took us a long time to get the temperature right!
That said, the overall stay was completely fine and the bed is very comfortable!! The location was good, there were lots of nice restaurants around, and the foyer, reception and breakfast area were all nice and modern. The staff were also friendly and we had no issues with them at all.
There is building work going on outside, but we were up and out quite early, so it wasn’t really a problem for us.

Pleasant all the same

We particularly appreciated the welcome, the dog kit is a nice touch, the room was very good and the bedding as well.
I do agree with some reviews, however; the beige chair was stained with several rings, I had one of the bathrobes changed which was stained yellow as well as traces of chocolate I hope... and the breakfast is not worth €30 for the few cut fruits, there were a few pieces of red berries left with the pineapple all mushy and not restocked, the plant-based milk area had nothing in it, which is a shame because breakfast is an important moment and the last one you spend at the hotel; even if the buffet is small, every guest must be able to enjoy it in the same way, arriving around 9:45 a.m. gives the impression of having missed everything. It was a disappointment

A good 4-star hotel

We enjoyed a pleasant moment for this umpteenth Parisian stay. While the 5 stars visible on the facade suggest a high standard despite a price well below similar hotels of this type, the details of imperfection quickly showed us that we were in a good 4-star hotel. Which in itself is already very good. Furniture sometimes a little dirty, stained beige carpets and armchairs, water ring left by the previous occupants' glass on a nightstand are a few examples. In a very family-oriented style, do not expect a reception service with a doorman, nor an automatic door that saves you from pulling on the handle to open your door, while pulling your suitcases. The clean and modern decor is well thought out, like many hotels that are adopting this type of concept today. It is therefore in this same spirit that you will be able to enjoy a breakfast that is both simple and sufficiently balanced. If you are coming for the usual, richly stocked morning buffets that some large establishments offer, you are not in the right place. Finally, we will mention this example which demonstrates that the 5th star is a bit overused: the fact of not having unsalted butter one morning, visibly forgotten during the orders. Perhaps it would have been enough to go buy some at the first store in the neighborhood. Ultimately, we are grateful for the time spent in this hotel, the calm we found there, a hotel without fuss or exaggerated pretension, clean and which suited us perfectly. The staff are generally pleasant, welcoming, and smiling; the neighborhood is well located for those who like to walk a bit to reach the various points of interest. It is possible that we will return to this address. Who knows :-)

Great Hotel in a Great Location

The Hotel De Nell was beautiful and quaint. Great location in Paris with plenty of shopping and restaurants to walk to. They were doing a lot of construction in the area, but the noise wasn't an issue at night. The room was a nice size with a King bed and the amenities were great! Lastly, the staff was helpful and accomodating.
