Delighted With Our Stay At Hotel Aston
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Aston from 3rd May to the 6th May. The staff were incredible especially Nicolas who kindly helped us to book a bus to the airport. We had booked a room with a balcony but unfortunately we couldn't use it because of the rain but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
Our room was spacious and it had excellent extras that we weren't expecting for example a nespresso machine and a bath. It was great to come back to our hotel after a long of day sightseeing and have a long soak in the bath. There was also a lift which was great when carrying luggage.
The location was amazing. Even though the hotel is technically on the 9th arrondissement it's might as well be on the 2nd because it's right on the bother. It's a four minute walk to the Grands Boulevard metro station which was so handy to get around. The only thing to note is that there is a €100 deposit when you book in. It's understandable, but just allow for it with spending money. Also we were told when checking out that the money would be back in our account by 12:00 noon, but it took a few days so no need to panic if it takes a bit longer, it probably depends on the bank. There's plenty of restaurants, bars and shops close by too. There's been a few comments about narrow corridors, small elevator etc but it's a typical Parisian building. We were delighted with our stay and would definitely return.

Staff were so friendly, rooms were exceptionally clean. We paid to have breakfast included and it was very good - plenty of food and a great variety.
Best part of the hotel was the location, super convenient, the lovely noiseless air conditioning and the fabulous shower with great water pressure. Highly recommend this hotel.

Staff were lovely especially the gentleman on reception. He couldn't help us enough. The hotel rooms are very small. We struggled to get into ours as the carpet was causing resistance against the door opening.
The shower was too small for my husband to use too.
Very useful place to get to the sights such as the Louvre and Eiffel tower.

Excellent experience.
Excellent location, very close to the metro and Parisian restaurants frequented by locals.
It was a wonderful stay, the hotel is very cute, the rooms and the bathroom are very small but complete with everything you need: very clean, high-quality hygiene products, safe, coffee machine, tea, etc. always stocked with pods, sugar, cookies, and tea.
Bottled water is never lacking. Quiet, excellent air conditioning, comfortable bed.
The breakfast for those who don't have high expectations is very good, well-balanced between sweet and savory.
But what makes the biggest difference is the staff (receptionist, breakfast waiter, floor staff), very kind, helpful, affectionate, and they speak English, some even a little Italian.
Always ready to help us with every request.
The only thing that should be reviewed is the lack of a shower replaced by a bathtub and the lack of a bidet, but this is a pipe dream if you think that it was invented in France .
I highly recommend a vacation here for all those who do not have high expectations but wish to enjoy a true and romantic Parisian stay.
We will return.

Horrible
A negative experience. Upon arrival, the gentleman at the reception, very detachedly, told us to leave our luggage in the breakfast room and, at the time of check-in, he wanted us to deposit a security deposit of
100 euros, never paid in all the hotels where we have stayed. The cramped room, 3 meters by 3 meters, in which we moved with difficulty, and even in the bathroom we had to enter one at a time, just like the elevator, which was too small to hold two people and the luggage in tow... so much so that I had to walk up to the fourth floor, and if I had met a person on the stairs who had to go down, I would have had to go back down because we would not have been able to pass at the same time.
Dirty bath mats kept in front of the bathtub for several days, dust everywhere that made it unsettling to even set down objects. The receptionists left a bit to be desired…only Maxim and Camara were very kind and always ready to answer our every question.
