A hidden little gem

I stayed overnight on business, very friendly staff, an ex English waiter who was great! Room was large, separate toilet and bathroom, a very comfortable room, breakfast was the usual continental, and was ample. overall a very pleasant stay.

Good value

One of the Logis de France, this hotel is in a small but very busy village and fronts the street on two sides.
We had a very warm welcome and were shown in to a good sized double room with a bath and shower. However we had booked a twin room which is our preference when travelling and it was a short delay before we ended up with a smaller twin room with just a shower and loo.
Decor throughout the hotel was drab with semi matt green paint and plain wallpaper of a pinkish buff. The bathrooms could do with updating. That said, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, the linen was immaculate (although the towels were rough) and the double glazing very effective at shutting out traffic noise.
We dined in the restaurant (which has been reviewed elsewhere). Breakfast was served in a small room off the bar tabac which was also part of the hotel. Excellent value at 6 euros per person. Fruit juice, yoghurt, rolls and chocolate or jam, and a selection of croissants and mini viennoiseries. Huge bowls of really hot cafe au lait and breakfast was a pleasure.
Neau has a church with 13th century frescoes, which we missed. So I expect we will be going back again. A good budget stay.

Très bonne cuisine

Petit restaurant très simple de l'extérieur mais chaleureux à l'intérieur Très bon repas et prix correct. Produit frais. Service rapide.Personnel aimable.Recommandé par notre loueuse de gîte. Nous n'avons pas regretté notre choix. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Une adresse pour une halte tranquille à un coût raisonnable

Accueil sympathique, chambre suffisante : propre, nouvelle robinetterie, salle d'eau avec cabine de douche spacieuse, literie confortable, penderie dans l'entrée, télé, tout y est avec double vitrage nécessaire car situation de l'hôtel à un carrefour aux feux tricolores.
Premier menu à 17 euros, excellent rapport qualité-prix avec entrée au choix (tarte camembert chaud par exemple), plat au choix comme la tête de veau sauce gribiche, et dessert ou véritable plateau de fromages régionaux, le tout servi généreusement et de façon très professionnelle, dans une belle salle à manger décorée avec goût et aux tables nappées en tissu et bien espacées.
Petit bémol pour le petit-déjeuner où il n'y a pas de table réfrigérée pour le jus d'orange et les yaourts. Semble surfait pour 8 euros : petits pains comptés par personne et mini-viennoiseries de type supermarché hard-discount, tasse de café à la demande par cafetière à capsules.
Pour une halte d'un soir, une adresse recommandable et souvent affichant complet car il n'y a que 8 chambres et beaucoup de clients habituels et réguliers de par leur activité professionnelle dans le secteur.

C'est un endroit idéal pour déjeuner avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix
Personnel agréable et service parfait
Le menu du jour est servi très rapidement ; préparé avec de bons produits. La carte des vins est également intéressante
