Dishonest booking policy leads to broken contracts

This Campanile deliberately misleads customers by offering half board (demi pension) bookings when having no intention of honoring them! They happily break a contract made earlier to secure a booking, as with arriving at a hotel at 4pm there is clearly no time to find another, suitable booking. Consequently the customer is left stranded. This is not the only Campanile hotel in France with such a policy as I have stayed in another this June which treated me in the same way. I have been a loyal customer of Campanile hotels for 20+ years but from 2026 I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Disappointed

I went to this hotel one day for coffee. The coffee was all cold and horrible. Over 20 minutes waiting.
And finally to see the receptionist and another switchboard worker having lunch.
Great Welcoming at the Technopole Hotel in Metz.
Yes, sir.

Cons:
- Uncleaned room (linen from previous guests, unemptied garbage cans...)
Poor maintenance, blood on the sheets, water on the desk, traces on the mirrors and door ...
Pros:
-Personnel of Pleasant Welcoming.

Filthy.

Bad, dirty carpeting and smelly room.
Moist and just filthy to walk around in.
Shower room dirty with cracks or unmade cracks.
Concrete edge at bath not sealed
No more books.

More and more obsolete rooms, not at the level of a campanile

The hotel was really old. I’ve been here for over 20 years, but this year it’s a disaster. The renovation becomes urgent while the prices remain high for the comfort level. Hair dryer broken down, front door of the room impossible to close (the receptionist came to screw back the lock after his meal, but the poor must run everywhere). The duvet cover had not been ironed at all, incredible enough in a hotel, dead insects in the wall lamp, shower tap that hardly holds on the wall anymore, joints of the bathtub moldy, toilet very scaled, large cobwebs on the shutter on the inside (see photos). The channel should react .....
