Discovery of a castle

Very pleasant setting.
The welcome, warm and attentive, by the staff.
The room was very comfortable, with a very beautiful view, and little touches.
Very beautiful gardens, interesting visit of the wine cellars and tasting.

Stay at Mercues

Fantastic experience for a couple of days of ultimate luxury. Particularly notable are the unique location on top of a hill with incredible view over the Lot river and the new chef producing an amazing and curated culinary experience. Well worth the trip.

A very beautiful break in our journey

A magnificent place that overlooks the Lot, a beautiful room, and a team of extraordinary kindness. Dining at this gourmet restaurant is an experience; there is no doubt about its next Michelin star given how delicious its cuisine is.

Beautiful place but aircon not working

Beautiful castle, with rustic charm. This is our second stay here and it was just as magical as I remember, with a lovely quiet swimming pool area.
Unfortunately we did have a problem with the aircon in our room. Despite me raising this twice with reception on the first day no one did anything about it and when we arrived back at 1am the room was stifling and impossible to sleep in. There was no fan in the room either. The next morning I complained for a third time and eventually by the second evening they changed our room to one where the aircon worked. This was great, but I really wish they had sorted this the first night as we were only there for 2 nights. When you’re paying over €600 per night, and it’s over 35 degrees out it’s not acceptable for the aircon not to work.

A night at the Castle

We stayed just one night at the Château de Mercues.
From the welcome upon our arrival, to the tour of the Vigouroux cellars, to the presentation of our suite, everything was perfect!
We felt good and the staff was attentive to facilitate our short stay.
The secret pool at the back of the garden is an asset, and what can I say about the dinner in the gourmet restaurant, simply extraordinary.
Kudos to the entire team!
