Lovely riverside setting.

A beautiful setting on the banks of the river with lovely walks on the doorstep. Very welcoming owners/staff? and a perfectly nice room. Not very luxurious but clean and adequate. We had a delicious dinner served by friendly people and all in all a very nice place to stay.

Ideal site... disappointing team

This hotel is ideally located on the banks of the Mayenne and offers beautiful walks along the towpath.
I had booked, as early as March 4, two nights, two Saturdays in a row, on April 18 and 25, before and after a planned stay in Brittany. I had asked for a table at the restaurant on those dates.
My room was unsurprising, neither good nor bad.
The first unpleasant surprise was at the restaurant: I saw myself taken to the dumbest table in the place, in the middle of the room, near a post, at the crossroads of the whole service! The table in the passages par excellence!
In front of my protest, and making sure that all the tables placed near the windows were reserved (since before March 4?), I was led, with bad grace, near a wall...
The foie gras served to me was very good and on a nicely presented plate. The same goes for dessert. I forgot what the main course was. No good, no bad memory....
The second unpleasant surprise was breakfast. Served in a nice room, but a buffet of a poverty to cry. See the picture!
I cancelled my reservation for the 25th in the process.
Very disappointed.

Disappointing ++

I have been around this establishment for many years and since my last two visits to the restaurant, the quality has greatly decreased. Lack of sofa to accompany a drink as an aperitif, bare tables without tablecloth, a stained napkin for my spouse , rates revised upwards +++ . We wanted to renew our disappointment last year but unfortunately, for us, we will choose another destination next time. Too bad place with a history and view having a cachet.

I don’t know if it was better before but it’s perfect today

We did not know the establishment “before” but we dined and slept there for a stopover. We're underdone, the calf's head is a kill. Very friendly service. Congratulations to the buyers who continue to make live typical addresses increasingly rare.

Very disappointed it is no longer the Beautiful Shore that we have known since the change of operator a "sir" just kind ..that we do not see in room..just when paying..meal at lunch at 35,50 € ..4 people .. after 2 very small toasts tjrs the same, mullet salmon puffy starter and scallop: Who only had the name puffiness..a very pasty compact slice with mini sauce...flat. A back of fresh or frozen cod? In any case parched overcooked and always the same vegetables: lukewarm tagliatelle pasta artichoke pepper cut in half head of cauliflower probably steamed no taste. And always the same mini sauce... Dessert strawberry pie mini sorbet. As for the Wine Service took a bottle of rosé.. g
. we were served a drink to the taster guest! And without then offering wine to the other guests the bottle was placed in the bucket. The wine was also iced!! In short since the change of owner operator we no longer recognize the quality of the kitchen of Beau Rivage that we have known. Too bad because the setting is very pleasant.. in conclusion We will not go any more .☹️
