Very good hotel
We stayed one night in this hotel, ideally located 2min from Catalan beach and cornice. There is a supermarket right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient! The price is reasonable for the neighborhood (about 100 euros per night)! We were worried about the old reviews but we were going to spend only one night there so we went there. We found a hotel still under construction because it has just changed ownership, but it is not disturbing, they are finishing and we had no noise or other nuisance. The room was clean and air conditioned we had a good night, the whole team is adorable! I recommend this hotel, very good Price quality ratio in a great area of Marseille!

A dream holiday!
A disaster! We arrived with two reservations for two people, each his room! An error has been made by the hotel that linked our reservations. We ended up with a missing room the hotel complete and without solution.
This is just the beginning!
The ridiculous room was very dirty! Hair on the edges of the tiles, in the sheets, under the duvet, under the sheets.
I also had injections of je ne sais quoi that kept me from sleeping!
I've showered, I don't know how many times! It is the worst feeling of not being able to sleep in peace, total disinfection of all my belongings that have been in contact with this room.
It is unacceptable to propose such a property in such a state! I’m more than disappointed and I’ll always advertise it badly!
Watch all the other reviews, and the answers bring to the comment more than shameful full of pretext. I hope that no response will be given to my comment, especially since this comment is made from scratch by a human and does not resemble the response made by the hotel which closely resembles responses under AI. But let’s pass I hope this comment will be useful to many readers!

Disgusting hotel
Disgusting hotel, all horrible, honestly don't go waste money there, look for something better, the owner is mentally ill, be careful, women and girls are a danger. Riah is his name, stay away from him for his sake, he is a man with mental problems

Good location, but not clean or safe
Hotel Pharo is an old historic building ... I accept that, so I was not expecting a large modern room, but I did expect it to provide clean and safe rooms.
There is no elevator ... reception is up a winding staircase on the first floor. All the rooms are up one or two floors. Seventy steps to reach our room ... 70 old unlevel narrow steps ... carrying our bags.
The room was small even though it was a “comfort twin”. Paint and plaster were chipping off in big chunks, the toilet door had swollen to the point it would not close, the shower was moldy. I’ve added pictures.
I can accept the difficulties of running a hotel in an old building, but there should be NO excuse for the lack of simple maintenance, improper cleaning leaving visible mold, the inadequate treatment of old stairways making them dangerous, particularly when you are dragging your bags up 70 or more steps. Don’t stay here. There are far better choices at about the same price. the first floor. All the rooms are up one or two floors. The worst ever
The worst hotel ever i dont recommend anyone to use this hotel
No elevator ,rooms are not clean and bad smell
the hotel do not deserve 1 star and we couldnt even stay for 5 minutes
