Family stay

Excellent choice for our pilgrimage to Lourdes!
All the staff, without exception, are smiling and helpful. Very pleasant. The smiles and good humor bring a real plus to our stay in this Marian city.
The familiar meals are of quality and plentiful.
Cleanliness in the rooms is very good, despite the age of the building.

Rather disappointing experience although the staff is very friendly and attentive to your requests

The restaurant is pleasant in an old style but the food is very very average. Even the breakfast bread is not fresh. The rooms definitely need a renovation but are clean. The staff are very friendly and do their best.

the hotel is cold and dirty.
they gave me a dirty plate and I asked for another one.
they brought me another plate dirtier than before, also broken in the sides. also, they forgot some towels, we asked for them but they didn't bring them to us..
it's the worst hotel i've been to.

Basic hotel to stay, but it works if...

You don’t mind going up a little hill. For wheel chairs or people with motion difficulties I would not recommend (unless you’re driving, they have a parking). But even if you park, you’d still have to walk to Sanctuary area (10’), so you’d still have to go down and climb back up at the end of night. Rooms are very basic, but seemed clean, staff is friendly and I observed them speaking english, spanish, russian and portuguese at least. Fair breakfast with 2 types of bread, hot coffee and milk, orange or apple juice, cereal, yogurt, fruits and slices of ham and cheese. If you don’t have a problem going up/down the hill, very convenient location, with plenty of stores and restaurants around. Free wifi at reception area but off on rooms higher up or far from that area, from what I experienced myself (I was on 3rd floor) and heard others commenting (not a deal breaker for me, but it might be for you if you really need it).

Pilgrimage

Hotel in good location near the sanctuary. Short steep road to entrance. Basic hotel. Very clean and fresh towels as required. Breakfast continental with fairly good selection. Reasonable price. Downside is no air con and noisy at night if you leave window open.
