Enjoy your stay
Hotel ideally located in the city center. Small but well appointed and well soundproofed room. Atypical elevator. We had a pleasant stay.
Little note it would be nice to have trays for breakfast.

Clean can be better
It was a last-minute reservation. Lille was full because of the conference. It was in the middle of a heat wave. In this context, the money value was not really net. There was no air conditioning, the breakfast variety was very poor, and the lift would not work properly. I asked for a high-level room as it is close to the train station, but I got a room on the second floor, which was very noisy, and I had to keep the windows open due to the heat. The hotel was clean. They gave me a bottle of water twice, but would not allow me to put some food in the fridge as it is very small which ended up by me throwing it again because if the heat. I liked the QR code methods for the entrance very practical. It has a very good location close to everything.

Regarding your room request, while we always do our best to accommodate guests' preferences, requests for a specific floor cannot be guaranteed, especially during periods of very high occupancy such as the conference you mentioned.
We also regret that our breakfast selection did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been noted and will be taken into consideration as we continually look for ways to improve our services.
Finally, regarding the refrigerator, our reception refrigerator is unfortunately very limited in capacity and is primarily reserved for medications and hotel operations. We are sorry that we were unable to accommodate your request on this occasion.

Worst hotel ( better to say hostel) that I have ever been to

During the heatwave there was NO AC in any room !! The only thing the rude receptionist provided us with was a table small fan ( it was clearly a joke by his side)
The elevator was broken ( we were staying on the 5th floor ) and the receptionist totally ignored me and my husband to help us with our luggage.
We almost passed out and was possible to have a heart attack.

We also apologize for the unexpected elevator breakdown, which was completely beyond our control. As soon as the issue occurred, our maintenance company was contacted and intervened as quickly as possible to restore the service. We fully understand the inconvenience this caused, especially when accessing the upper floors.
However, we were surprised by your comments regarding the attitude of our receptionist. Providing a warm and professional welcome is one of our top priorities, and we take this type of feedback very seriously. We will nevertheless discuss your comments with our team to better understand what happened.
Finally, we regret that you chose to leave the hotel without giving us the opportunity to find a solution that might have improved your stay.

Hotel very well located for visiting Lille
Two nights at the Ambassador Hotel, ideally located, right next to the Lille Flandres train station and metro, and 10 minutes from Lille Europe. The center and old Lille are very easily accessible on foot.
Friendly and efficient reception, recent makeover, room not very large but space optimized, good bedding. It is worth noting that the space is limited, such as the breakfast room or shower and toilet cubicle. The breakfast is basic but quite acceptable to start the day. Digital access via QR code to enter the hotel and the room. A bell and a call number in case of access difficulties or absence of reception.
Nice touch: small bottles of water available, coffee machine accessible, possibility to leave luggage or have the room available to drop off luggage earlier (if it is ready) for us, for example around 1 PM.
Suitable for a short stay. Quality-price ratio for the location is very reasonable.

Nice hotel, well maintained.
The room was clean, spacious and bright.
Very comfortable bedding.
