A great stopover with an excellent welcome

Excellent welcome in this very well-run establishment with pleasant rooms in a beautiful, very quiet environment. Very good restaurant on site and very decent breakfast as well.
A very nice stopover to recommend along the Nantes to Brest canal.

Pleasant, quiet stay

Short stay in this very well-run family hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the view of the park and the canal is very relaxing. The owners welcomed us with kindness and attention, which is a change from impersonal hotels. The proximity of Josselin and the pretty medieval towns of Pontivy or Malestroit - among others - is an additional asset and the restaurant offers a quality menu for a reasonable price. We will definitely recommend it.

Quiet with spacious grounds and excellent restaurant

The Relais de l'Oust is a rather tired 1980s(?) hotel, but the rooms are comfortable and clean with little balconies facing the canal. The hosts are warm and friendly and the restaurant was very good. We ate there both nights of our stay, rather than eating in Josselin, because the food was of such high quality. The kids appreciated the table tennis, swingball and table football, and also the lovely goats! For cycling along the canal it is highly convenient, but also convenient by car. And it was only a few kilometres cycle ride down the canal into Josselin. An ideal place to stay, even if not the most beautiful.

Perfect for a short stay

We stayed here based on the Tripadvisor reviews and we were't disappointed. Yes, it's a quiet, no frills hotel, but it was perfect for an overnight stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming and seem to really appreciate their guests. The grounds are large and the hotel itself is situated on a beautiful canal, perfect for cycling or walking.
The family room was spacious, comfortable and modern. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

A perfect stay!

We arrived at the end of a day's cycling on an extremely hot and sunny day and were greeted with a tray of cold water, ice, chilled nectarines and other very welcome morsels accompanied by an invitation to sit and relax. Such thoughtful hosts. The room was fine and had a balcony. We stayed two nights and dined in the first night - very good food. It was a short cycle ride into Josselin along the very pretty canal. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
