Very good value in the city centre
Even before my wife and I arrived, the hotel was helpful, giving us directions by tram from the train station. Hotel is clean, very central and with friendly, helpful staff. Very good value. Recommended.

A warm night in Grenoble
This is absolutely not acceptable, a hotel that needs a good renovation, including the small rooms with no room to move. The mattress was terrible and it sank. The bathroom was a tiny cubicle, no accessories like a shower cap are offered. The air conditioning seemed to be working but it didn't cool anything, the refrigerator present and turned on didn't refrigerate anything. It was impossible to keep the window open both because of the heat and the noise coming from the square in front of the hotel. I had to request towels for two since only one had been left. They apologized of course, but it shows a bit of superficiality on the part of the staff. At the reception, upon our arrival, a kind girl only knew how to give basic information regarding the hotel. The hotel parking is about a 6-minute walk away but the spaces are very narrow and maneuvering is difficult. It is better to leave the car in the nearby paid parking lots. The location is certainly good and you can reach the historic part in a short time on foot.

Regarding the appearance and style of the hotel, we would like to point out that the photographs published on our website and on our booking partners accurately and transparently reflect our property. Our hotel is located in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Grenoble, and we embrace its vintage character while carrying out regular renovations to preserve both its character and our guests' comfort. We always encourage future guests to review these photographs before making a reservation so that the hotel's style and facilities match their expectations.
We are sorry that you found your room too small. According to your reservation, you stayed in one of our 18 m² Standard Rooms with two guests and two dogs. While many guests find this category perfectly comfortable, we understand that travelling with pets naturally requires additional space. For a future stay, we would be pleased to recommend one of our 25 m² Superior Rooms, which offer significantly more room together with additional amenities, including a minibar, bathrobes, slippers, a courtesy tray and a whirlpool bathtub.
Concerning the air conditioning, we would like to reassure future guests that all our rooms are equipped with fully operational air conditioning systems, which are checked regularly. Had you informed our reception team during your stay that the room temperature was not satisfactory, our staff—available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—would have been delighted to inspect the system immediately and provide assistance to ensure your comfort.
We also regret the oversight regarding the towels. Although this was corrected as soon as you informed us, we understand that such details contribute to the overall impression of a stay. We are equally sorry that your interaction with our reception team did not fully meet your expectations. Our staff is committed to providing attentive service and is always available to assist our guests throughout their stay.
Regarding the noise, our central location is one of the hotel's greatest assets for discovering Grenoble on foot, although it can occasionally mean some activity around the nearby square. To maximise guest comfort, all our rooms are equipped with triple-glazed windows and an internal double-door system, which provide excellent sound insulation when properly closed.
Finally, regarding parking, the configuration of Grenoble's city centre naturally limits the availability of private parking facilities. This is why we offer two private parking solutions located less than 200 metres from the hotel, providing convenient access while allowing our guests to enjoy a truly central location.
We are pleased that you appreciated our excellent location, just a short walk from Grenoble's historic centre, and we regret that the rest of your experience did not leave you with a better impression.

Very comfortable.
We had a Superior Double rom at Hotel D'Angleterre, which was clean, spacious, well-equipped and included 2 small balconies. The position is ideal, being close to the old town and facing a park.

Perfect location from where explore and enjoy the city. Don’t use the hotel parking though: it is well minded but ultimately a hassle.
