Laborious
Disorganized service, criticizing each other, a strange atmosphere for lunch!
Two appetizers missing, which leaves little choice, main course good but small portion, fortunately I was able to fill up with bread

Disappointing

We dined at this restaurant last night, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The dish I ordered was very spicy. My friend was unable to eat her dish; we requested to change it, as it was the main course, and at €42 for the menu, it is important to be able to eat the dish. We reported this to the waiter, who was very understanding. The problem is that the chef came at the end of the meal, and instead of apologizing or seeking a solution, or allowing us to express ourselves constructively, he spoke to us in a very condescending tone, explaining that the smoked paprika was well prepared this way, and that we were mistaken. This lack of respect towards the clients is unacceptable, and this unpleasant attitude really ruined the evening. Apparently, this is a recurring problem with this chef. It would be good if this gentleman listened to feedback and slightly questioned himself. Following this incident, we heard him say loudly in the restaurant, "Well, let them fire me," speaking, I suppose, about the owners of the establishment.
It's a shame, because the setting and the initial service were quite good, but I will not return because of this attitude. Which is once again unacceptable.

Unpleasant

We were 4 adults last night April 1st.
4 menus at 42€.
Appetizers, So far perfect starters
That's after it spoils.
30 minutes between the starter and the main course
2 tartars OK,
Braised cheek (cold), overcooked cold fries.
Hake served cold raw endives.
All of this was verified by the service.
Very disappointed.

Recommended without moderation

Passing through the Gers friends advised me the restaurant L’échappée belle. The reviews I had read seemed contradictory but I was very pleasantly surprised. Menu at 42€ very well executed and service rather considerate. We shared a foie gras and I took the back of confit, endives and nuts: everything was delicious. Simple but effective desserts. Very friendly chef who comes to inquire about the impressions of his customers. Rare enough to be highlighted. Good job. We can only advise this table and will be back with pleasure!
