Situated close to the Swiss border, we stay at The Arrow on a regular basis while traveling between the UK and Italy. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms comfortable and clean, with plenty of hot water and good climate control in the bedrooms. All important amenities after a long travel day. There are several restaurants, petrol stations and supermarkets within easy reach of the hotel as well which adds to the convenience. We don’t ever stop for breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

Fine for an overnight stay

Nice stylish hotel, friendly reception. Nice room and bathroom. Nespresso machine, no refrigerator, but a kettle. Narrow double bed (French bed) with one mattress and one duvet. Okay so far, I hate French beds and we had actually booked a double bed. Soundproof windows kept the aircraft noise from Basel airport out well. When we arrived for breakfast, the buffet had been largely eaten empty, there were no more cups for the coffee, and the small spoons were all gone too. We were allowed to eat from the leftovers. Finally someone came to the reception and we were then able to ask for coffee cups. After some time, a few were actually put out. Well, the leftovers were enough, a little bit of everything, and we were full too.

Comfortable stay, perfect for FABRIKculture

I stayed here for one night while attending an exhibition at nearby FABRIKculture, and for that purpose the location was excellent – just a very short walk away. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and communication before my arrival was friendly and helpful. The bathroom provided hand wash and shower gel, although I would have appreciated a few additional toiletries such as body lotion.
The only slight negative was getting there from Basel SBB. The hotel recommended a particular taxi service, which I used. The driver was extremely friendly and helpful, but the fare was €30. For my return to Basel SBB the following day I used Uber and paid €18 for an equally friendly and efficient journey. It might be useful for future guests arriving by train to know that this can be a considerably cheaper option.
Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay, and I would happily stay here again if visiting the area.

We stayed in the family suite (family of 5), really good room / facilities, very clean. Perfect for our stay. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice transit hotel!

Great transit hotel! The hotel is practically on the Swiss border (Basel) and was for us a transit hotel en route to Italy. Beautiful spacious connecting room with separate master bedroom and wide sofa bed in living room for our teenagers. Neat bathroom, there was a pantry with microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast was also totally fine. Despite the slightly too hard mattress and the ‘noise’ of the sofa bed hinges, we would definitely book this hotel again.
