Modern Comfort Meets Excellent Service in Dijon

We had a fantastic stay at Aloft Dijon—easily one of the highlights of our three-week trip.
The rooms are modern, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The beds were the best we experienced on our entire trip—firm but perfect for a great sleep. The room temperature was also ideal, and the air conditioning allowed us to keep it cool even during our March stay.
Housekeeping was outstanding, with great attention to detail that didn’t go unnoticed.
Breakfast is definitely worth it (and included for Bonvoy Elite members). A great selection of high-quality food, including fresh baguettes, homemade jams, and even a hard-boiled egg maker—something a little different that we appreciated.
The WXYZ bar adds a fun, modern energy to the hotel. While it leans toward a younger crowd, we still found it very comfortable. The music creates a great atmosphere without being overwhelming. The food was above average and reasonably priced.
The wellness facilities are a big plus—pool, hot tub, steam room, and dry sauna all in one place. A rare and welcome feature after a day of exploring.
Location is ideal, within walking distance to all the main attractions in Dijon.
The staff truly make this place special. From the friendly front desk team to Laure, who provided us with a detailed list of things to do, the service was consistently excellent.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a modern, well-located hotel with great service.

Aloft Hotel in Dijon

The neighborhood is charming, the exterior building is magnificent. Once inside, the reception clearly lacks warmth due to the layout and decor. Moreover, the decoration of the hotel does not match the charm of the building at all. It lacks a bit of good taste. The room was spacious and comfortable; however, we had difficulty with the concept of a completely open bathroom, especially facing the entrance door. There were 4 of us in our room, and this clearly posed a problem for us. The bedding was of good quality. A major downside was the foul smell of sewage that was very, very strong. The gym is top-notch and is open 24 hours a day, which is appreciated. The breakfast is decent but nothing more. There clearly need to be real tables for breakfast. A lot of people present made the same remark. A very good establishment for one night but not more.

A quality hotel

What a great discovery. A hotel with many amenities, an impeccable and quiet room. The facilities are new and the staff very friendly. I will return.

comfortable beds in a good location

Our room was squeaky clean and the bed so comfortable. I wish we could have stayed in Dijon longer. Also, this is an excellent location for exploring the city. The hotel loses a star for trying to be trendy modern, but only achieving mostly weird. I'd stay again though for the bed.

Funky design

I guess the clue is the name - loft being synonymous with hipness and young professional lifestyle.. The hotel design is very ‘funky’ if not always in a good way. It’s a bit unsettling to share a lift with a life size image of Michael Jackson or Maradona - perhaps not the most sympathetic celebrities of recent years.
The breakfast area is awash with distracting tv screens although offers a reasonable food and drink offer.
Whilst housed in a striking historical building, inside there is no way of knowing this inside the hotel apart from the stairs. (The lifts have to be the slowest we have encountered on our travels so taking the stairs is wise)
However, on the plus side, our bedroom was very attractive with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows - shame there’s no bedside reading lights. The aircon was noisy but effective
The location is great, being close to the historic centre as well as not far from the train station.
Finally, the sauna and pool are a welcome bonus - hence the four stars.
