Lovely site for family with small children
We stayed with our family (2 daughters aged 4 and 6) for 2 weeks at camping Le Clou. We are very pleased with the this campsite. The Sanitary was clean, the campsite spacious and the team of the campsite extremely helpful and friendly. There is a lot to do in the area (river Dordogne 5 minutes drive) and our girls liked all the activities (including lantern parade) very much. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice campsite in the Dordogne!

High expectations not fulfilled
Disappointment
Based on the reviews we had high expectations but unfortunately they only came true to a limited extent.
Positive:
- lots of green/shade, very nice with the warm weather.
- Number of play areas. 1 large playground with bouncy castles and football field and many small play areas, although they could use a small maintenance.
- Terrace looks very atmospheric and cozy.
- Pool is fun up to 8/9 years
Disappointing
- campsite is located next to a treatment plant so you (very) regularly smell a sewage smell
- Website states that most pitches are 80-120m2. However, we had a place of less than 50m2 but pay just as much as the one who gets 150m2. Incidentally, there were a lot of places that are about 50m2, which makes it difficult for me to believe the claim of the website.
- Pool is nice but too small for a full campsite and also not clean / too much chlorine.
- Last but not least: Owners are very customer unfriendly. It seems they can't handle the pressure (in high season) well and above all it's more about making money than service.
This unfriendliness was evident, among other things, when the charging station broke. Unfortunately, this can happen but it is annoying for the many Dutch people with an EV. Inquiries with the Owner yielded little: could still take days (eventually 6) and as advice he indicated that I could drive half an hour back to the fast charger....
When I said that there was another charging station on the campsite there was a reaction that it was not the intention to use it. This charging station did not have a meter and one had to assume the honesty of the person who is going to charge and that could cost money, so they could not start.
That something can break speaks for itself and can happen, but if there are multiple alternatives (also loading in your own place) and all that is not offered / prohibited, then I can not help but conclude that it is not about service but about money and unfortunately I have to confirm the image of the other reviews.
In short, not recommended.

Nice campsite for small children.
Very nice campsite. Kids connect quickly. Generally no tokkie-content (we were unlucky with a group of friends behind us who had to drink until half past two every day, but otherwise did not see tokkie)
The pool far too small for the number of guests. Little plumbing and they sometimes closed it off. When you're in the shower, there's a little door down the street and someone's playing a turd. Still crazy. In addition, table dhotes is quite nice, one evening better than the other but the fun and young employees make up for a lot. Then the owners, what should you say; daughter and father value hospitality. Ma'am, you just have to avoid a little. Our first contact was about our children and the last contact was that she was not satisfied with how we returned the containers for recycling. We didn't get a bottle of wine either, oh well not. Otherwise fine for children up to 8 years.

Heerlijk verblijf!
Zeer mooie, verzorgde, groene camping met ruime plaatsen en heel modern en super schoon sanitair. Er zijn fantastische zwembaden, sportvelden en een heerlijk terras! Een paar keer per week wordt er een table d'hote georganiseerd, hetgeen heel gezellig is, heerlijk eten, met z'n allen aan een lange tafel. Zeer zeker aan te raden! De vriendelijke Nederlandse familie laat het je aan niets ontbreken en ook hun medewerkers zijn uiterst behulpzaam. Niet twijfelen, gewoon heen gaan! Voor de liefhebbers: er zijn 3 of 4 golfbanen vlakbij.

Een meer dan uitstekend verblijf
Wij zijn hier inmiddels al drie zomers geweest, iets wat wij normaliter niet doen. Algemeen een fantastische en zeer groene plek, ruime kampeerplaatsen met eventueel schaduw en een fantastisch mooi en groot zwembad. Een ideale plek voor kinderen welke zelf veilig over de camping kunnen bewegen met leuke activiteiten. Daarnaast een geweldig terras met een hele goede kaart en een heerlijke table d'hôtes bereid door de campingeigenaren zelf. Deze plek is fantastisch en niet alleen je kinderen maar ook als ouder kom je hier echt tot rust en heb je vakantie. Zeer vriendelijk en correct personeel. De omgeving is waanzinnig, de Dordogne is na 38 jaar mijn 2e thuis.
