Perfect!

Exceptional stay in this large typical Basque family home.Warm and attentive welcome from Claire and Jorg, peaceful atmosphere a little out of time.We stayed 2 nights in the standard room, on the 4 floor, with elevator. Old decor but renovated bathroom. In addition, upstairs, kitchenette, with fridge and microwave. Good bedding.
Breakfast is a hearty treat, fresh produce, to listen to Jorg's advice for visits to do.Exceptional hosts for their benevolence and availability.

Wonderful holiday in a stylishly renovated Villa with very nice, hospitable landlords

We spent a nearly two-week holiday in this very nice ,old house Aita Baita in a very good location in Ciboure(excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity and also St,Jean de Luz are within easy walking distance!)
Impressive for us were the warmth and hospitality of Claire and Jörg. They were always concerned about our well-being, Jörg always provided us with information, tips and precise descriptions at the exceptional breakfast ,also history and special features of the beautiful
Basque Country ,both on the French and Spanish side, he gave us
mediated.
We lived on the upper floor a nice room with balcony, our friend Sandra was accommodated in a smaller room opposite (elevator and small kitchen for shared use!)
We saw a lot and ate excellently (thanks to the recommendations of Jörg and Claire) and also Wrobi ,the nice, very well behaved dog gave us a lot of joy.
There is still much to discover ,thank you very much for everything dear Claire and dear Jörg
We would like to come back

The charm of a house in its traditional decor with all modern comforts, and a magnificent view of the Rhune, when the clouds want it!
Very warm welcome from the hosts, charming and with lots of good advice on places to see and Things to do nearby.

Magical!

Aita Baita is a wonderful old basque style house that was recently renovated without disturbing any of the charm. They even have an elevator to all floors, and off street parking, all discreetly hidden from the casual observer. My husband and I stayed in the garden room, our daughter With her husband and 2 babies were in the Cedar room, and another friend was in the Bordagain room. This meant we had the third floor to ourselves, along with the convenient little fridge and kitchenette and even a little table and chairs in a common area in the middle. There are other rooms on the second floor and an apt also available. The rooms were all beautiful, immaculately clean, and spacious with really comfortable beds, and other sitting room furniture in the two larger rooms, and the bathrooms are great (each has its own private bath)! We had so much fun exploring Ciboure and its neighboring St Jean de Luz... the beach, the shopping in cute shops and a fantastic farmers market, a harbor cruise, and one day a trip to San Sebastián for tapas. It was a heavenly week! Claire and Jorg are wonderful hosts who make everyone so comfortable! They know the area so well that they were full of great suggestions for places to visit, places to eat, how the harbor boat works, and out-of-the-way ideas that we never would’ve found ourselves, like hidden pathways, little hikes to places with great views, the original water well area, and the little corner restaurant down the street that has a delicious free tapa on Thursday night with each drink purchased! :-). This is the best bed-and-breakfast we’ve ever stayed at, and we highly recommend it!

Bezaubernder Ort mit vielfältigen Aktiv-Möglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe!

Wie besuchten diesen zauberhaften Ort, im Rahmen unserer Rundreise durch das Baskenland und die frz. Atlantikküste. Mit einem sensationelles Frühstück mit frischem Obst, Orangensaft, leckeren Marmeladen und frischen Croissants, starteten wir in den Tag! Die Ruhe des wunderschön, angelegten Gartens mit seiner gewaltigen Zeder und dem Blick auf die Ausläufer der Pyrenäen von der Terrasse ist unbezahlbar! Für Claire und Jörg ist Ihre "Aita Baita" mehr als eine Passion! Das spürt man immer wieder! Sie kümmern sich ganz liebevoll um Ihre Gäste! Nette Gespräche sind hier in deutsch, französich, englisch und sogar in spanisch/Claire mit den Gastgebern möglich. Dann die vielen, wertvollen und sehr hilfreichen Tipps von Jörg, wenn es darum geht die Region zu erkunden, einfach Weltklasse! Was gibt es hier in der unmittelbaren Nähe für traumhafte Strände und süße Orte zu sehen! Keine 10 Minuten und man ist bereits in Spanien. Auch das nahgelegene San Sebastian, mit seiner wunderschönen Altstadt mit Ihren unzähligen Pinxto- und Tapas-,erreicht man nach lediglich 20 Minuten! Ein unbedingtes Muss! Ciboure als Ausgangspunkt lässt auch das Herz eines jeden Golfers höher schlagen! Es gibt mehrere wunderschön, gelegene Golfplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe mit z.T. traumhaften Ausblicken auf das Meer und die Atlantikküste...Und dies innerhalb von 15 Minuten. 5 (!!!) Golfplätze sind hier im Radius von 10-15km sehr schnell erreichbar! Aber auch das Wandern oder der Wassersport, wie Schwimmen, Surfen, Kiten oder Waveboarden kommt hier nicht zu kurz! Auch nicht ganz unwichtig, unser Auto stand die ganze Zeit gut gesichert und kostenfrei, auf dem großen, privaten Parkplatz hinter dem Haus, direkt neben dem angrenzenden Garten! Ach ja... fast hätte ich sie vergessen, euren liebenswerten Hund "Froby", haben wir auch in unser Herz geschlossen. Wir wurden von ihm begrüßt, als seien wir vollwertige Familienmitglieder, einfach herrlich! Für uns ist die "Aita Baita" ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt, auf der einen Seite sehr aktiv zu sein, um dann auf der anderen Seite, sich an einem Ort der absoluten Ruhe und Geborgenheit, komplett relaxen und erholen zu können! Wir können es kaum erwarten, schon bald wieder, dieses wunderbare "Zuhause" erneut zu buchen.
