Very good access to city.Excellent restaurant just down the road. Car park almost underneath hotel.

Convenient and central
We stayed at this hotel for just one night during a tour of France, and the accommodation turned out to be comfortable overall. A strong point of the structure is definitely the location, less than ten minutes on foot from the historic center and particularly from the famous Cathedral. The hotel appears charming and well-maintained in the common areas. Small but welcoming was the room that was reserved for us. Good was the buffet set up for breakfast.

Lovely hotel and great location in the town. We arrived quite late but were greeted with a smile, and able to get a drink! The room was of a good size, the bed and pillows were comfortable and it was clean. There was plenty of choice for breakfast. I would highly recommend.

A very friendly staff!
Overall pleasant stay at the Mercure Chartres, with a successful welcome.
Early arrival on a Friday afternoon accepted without difficulty with the ALL card.
We had booked a Privilege room with a nice view of the cathedral. The room was functional, well soundproofed, and comfortable overall. The bedding is of good quality, even though the mattress creaked a bit. Welcome attention in the room with the Accor card (a small chocolate tablet) is always pleasant. A small downside, however, regarding the bathroom, which could use a refresh to meet the expected standard.
Hotel bar open with extended hours (the reception staff takes care of it). Welcome drink for two.
Regarding room service, there were a few minor hiccups during the Saturday cleaning. Our bathrobes were removed without being replaced, the "Do Not Disturb" sign was taken down, and the minibar was not restocked. It is worth noting that the minibar included in the Privilege room is only stocked on the first day, which is a bit disappointing for this type of service.
Similarly, the bottle of water is not replaced, and there is no indication that we need to go downstairs to refill it (it is even stated on the sign in the room that the bottle is cleaned "daily").
Unfortunately, the real downside of the stay remains the breakfast (even though it is free with Diamond Accor status). There is a real problem with supply and restocking. On Saturday morning in particular, despite a high turnout, by 9:45 AM there was no more bread, no more pastries, and very few options until 10:30 AM. The offering seemed quite poor and of low quality, which contrasts with the rest of the experience.
On the other hand, a big shoutout to the reception staff, who were extremely kind, professional, and accommodating throughout the stay. Also, a positive mention for the late check-out granted until 1 PM without any difficulty.
An enjoyable stay, therefore, thanks to the quality of the welcome and the overall comfort of the room, but with a real area for improvement on breakfast and certain service details.
