Comfortable

We stayed here during our cycling holiday through France. Beautiful kitchen and living room, beautiful and very spacious room and bathroom. The bicycles were safely stored in the garden (although not covered). There was little water from the tap, but the shower was very good. It was a bit bizarre that the cupboards in the room were stuffed with clothes and personal items, but that didn't bother us. Good breakfast under the pergola. We received little information in advance, but everything was fine on site. Friendly service. Within cycling distance of the center and the train station of Bordeaux. Even if, like us, you are not interested in the Zen thing, this is a somewhat unusual but comfortable place with a good price-quality ratio.

Poor and not recommended

A very scruffy property in a poor area of Bordeaux. The walk into town wasn't pleasant with rough sleepers camped along the river. No secure parking, not ensuite facilities and loud TV from the hosts all evening. I do not recommend this accommodation.

it was difficult to find (at night) . GPS was correctly leading to hotel, but it had no signs. Finally, we found it in an inside garden.

It was different, like staying in a friends house with some of their stuff still in the room. I had difficulty finding it so they very kindly picked me up at a local restaurant I had found. I arrived late and left early but the overall impression was very positive.

I appreciated the warmth of the hospitality, and Loft Zen was, indeed, a very relaxed place to be. Our room's wardrobes were full of the host's belongings, and the room was quite basic, however, with an off-suite bathroom.
