A good accommodation solution in Bron
3 nights in this hotel and really no gaps of importance. Indeed it is an old converted Novotel but it is clean, the rooms are large, new air conditioning, good bedding, separate toilet from the bathroom and remarkable sound insulation. Water fountain on each floor. Large free parking with charging stations. Young, professional and helpful staff at reception or breakfast (thanks to Baptiste who ensures everything)

Room temp was set to 24 degrees and the air con didn’t work, the staff said it was because it was 18 degrees outside the week before but in what world does that make a comfortable sleeping temp 24? And surely I should be able to change it.

More than fine!
Great hotel for an overnight stay in transit to the South of France. For several years now, we have been staying at the Novotel next door. However, this year the budget friendly ibis decided to book. And really more than fine!
Spacious rooms and great free breakfast. Certainly a lot less extensive that at the Novotel. But you have plenty of choice. (Croissants, chocolate rolls, baguettes, scrambled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, sweet and savoury toppings, fresh juices and coffee.)
We had a family room with connecting door. The kids loved the hotel with all the pictures of Mario and Pokémon.
Rooms are neat and not noisy. Sleeping well.
Opposite the hotel is a shopping centre with a decathlon and at the end of the street a McDonald’s. Everything within walking distance.

One night he reconciled me with this hotel!
I had slept a few weeks ago at the Novotel, sister hotel. My experience had been... bad. Ibis reconciled me with this establishment. Friendly and efficient Welcoming. I was upgraded. The room was perfect. Very quiet. Leaving at 4am, the reception had planned me a perfect substitute breakfast. A brief stay unfortunately but very pleasant. I'll be right back.

I really hated it here …
Starting of with the location - our family room was at the other end of the world - really a long walk with luggage and stuff to get there - forget something from the car … just leave it there.
The theming - for me horrible and cheap - I get it old slot machines and games are cool- but that does not have to make your hotel look cheap and tacky. The staff was pretty unfriendly upon check in and not very helpful .
The room was just a mix out of scuffed furniture an old carpet with stains and horrible pain. I mean a renovation is not just smacking paint over old stuff … horrible.
Room was overlooking a busy highway (yeah - not even street) - and for some reason there were two windows - old one behind new one. Makes sense with all that street noise. Horrible don’t got there.
Breakfast was ok - and they offered a water fountain for drinking at the lobby - the only nice things I can say about the hotel.
