Great old hotel

This hotel is across the courtyard from the Palace of the Popes. You can get to most places in the downtown core within a 15 minute walk. The hotel itself is hundreds of years old. Great rooms. The buffet breakfast is worth getting.

Very good location

Elevator: Yes
Location: Central. You are right by the Palais des Papes.
Air conditioning: Yes, and it can be adjusted by oneself.
Our room: Very large.
Bathroom: Somewhat dated.
Annoying in the restroom area: An old, dirty toilet brush that the hotel could have replaced for a few euros. The toilet keeps leaking, then it doesn't - it needs to be repaired.
Overall, a good hotel, and if more attention were paid to small details and regular checks of the bathroom/restroom, we would have given 4 points instead of just 3.

Think carefully before booking

Friendly staff, but to sleep, close the windows, and also, the GPS does not know the location well, but it is expensive with parking in addition, so think carefully before booking.

Great!

My wife and I had a very good time at the Hôtel du palais des papes. The receptionists were very helpful and welcoming, the room was exactly what we wanted (charmingly old-time but fully functional, with a great view of the palace). We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Great local food (aïoli provençal and bourride) and excellent service, friendly, quick and effective. We really don't understand the bad reviews the place has received in the past, this is a lovely hotel ideally located.

Fantastic location and warm welcoming staff. We had a wonderful view of the palace entrance, which was only a 30 second walk away. Everything you would typically want in a room was already there without having to ask the staff. Beds were comfortable, including the pull-out couch. Plenty of coffee in the room.
