This hotel is highly overrated and, in my experience, dishonest. They charged my family and me for breakfasts that we never had, and despite bringing the mistake to their attention, they have refused to issue a refund. This experience left us feeling misled and very disappointed. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Overrated and overprized

This hotel is highly overrated, overprized and, in my experience, dishonest. They charged my family and me for breakfasts that we never had, and despite bringing the error to their attention, they refused to issue a refund. This experience left us feeling misled and deeply disappointed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

We regret your disappointment but this is a misunderstanding.
Indeed, an error occurred in your invoice and breakfasts were billed that were not taken.
The reception had properly reported the issue to our accounting department and a refund file has been opened.
We have never refused to acknowledge our mistake and, since a good part of the accounting department team is absent during this summer period, your refund was processed with a slight delay but it was properly processed.
We can be clumsy but surely not dishonest.

The welcome was great. The room was very comfortable and according to the description - a little worn in some places.
The bar and restaurant staff appeared very helpful but were slow to take our orders. The hotel was well appointed and very impressive from the outside and the public areas were beautiful. The food was very good. The breakfast was good although the presence of a few flies on the meats and salmon was a little disconcerting.
The grounds were beautiful.
The spa was nice but the pool small and not really designed for swimming just dipping.
The parking was adequate and the concierge were all lovely except one ! and one was indeed very kind to my little dog.
Overall a lovely stay and worth 4 stars but with some effort they could achieve 5 stars

First class experience

When I booked this hotel I went back and forth between it and a couple hotels that were in Annecy old town, While this hotel is a 15 minute walk from old town, the walk is on a tree covered path and lets you leave the busy old town to go to your oasis just outside of it. The staff is fantastic. They work hard to please their guests. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and extremely clean including the rooms. The concierge corresponded with me ahead of time to set up spa, restaurants, and bike rentals. For those who’ve never been, Lake Annecy is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
