Palvelu on loistavaa

Todella viihtyisä paikka, pysähdyimme lounaalle joulun välipäivänä vastoin odotuksiamme henkilökunta avasi lounaspöydän lisäksi ala carte menun josta tilasimme burgeri sekä lohikeitto. Kysyimme henkilökunnalta mistä saisimme kotiin viemiseksi karjalanpiirakkaa niin henkilökunta hoiti meille piirakat vaikka paikallinen leipomo oli kiinni

Good but with few actions it can much better

Room include all like described but self-service doesn't belong into hotel. When asking when breakfast is available we were told the first will make coffee and rest can be found from fridge. It would be nice since there are those young traineers that they could make coffee and clean tables before customers will pop-up.
Another big minus comes due to rotten stairs so there is a little swinng palce but stairs are forbidden to use. Fortunately there is a good swimming place quite near ( 1km) by road.
No cooling system in room but blower was available.

Nice short stay

We had to get used to Finland, Kagone learnt us! Kitchen closes at 17.00, door closes at 21.00, breakfast in the fridge etc. But after these lessons, good place to stay. Friendly employees, taking the time to explain, very quite at night and complete room and a decent and fair priced diner.

A lot of potential - good luck for the entrepreneur

We stayed only one night on our cycling trip and the hotel was ok for that. The room was ok for a short stay and the sleeping comfort was in fact so good that I checked the label on the matress. It had a self service breakfast which is fully understandable in small establishment like this, but the selection and quality leaves room for improvemenet even though it was ok in relation to the cheap pricing of the room.
As you can see i think that it was ok for the (low) price, but I would in fact had given only two points unless I had not wished to support the new entrepreneur to continue. I see a lot of potential, the situation is good for travellers, the building beautiful and so was the spot above the small lake (it had had long stairs from the hotel to the lake so that one could have had swim there, but unfortunately they were closed as the new entrepreneur had not yet had time to fix the derelict stairs). I do hope that the hotel will have clients so that it encourages to upgrade the quality: it is a pity if this kind of a small gem is to attract budget travellers only

Rauhallinen hotelli jossa ystävällinen palvelu

Olimme matkalla kesäsesongin ulkopuolella ja hotellissa oli vain pari muuta asiakasta. Rakennus on karjalistyyliin tehty hirsitalo. Huoneet ovat todella rauhallisia, koska ne sijaitsevat kerroksen sisäänkäynnin alapuolella. Valtatien äänet eivät kuulu huoneisiin, vaikka tie on ihan vieressä. Huone oli siisti ja kohtalalaisen hyvin varusteltu. Aamulla hotellissa ei ollut henkilökuntaa, vaan aamiaistarvikkeet löytyivät jääkaapista. Valmiina oli pari isoa kinkkusämpylää, kananmunia, jogurttia ym ja kahvia sai keittää kahvinkeittimellä. Hotellin takapihalla on terassi, josta hienot näkymät alhaalla olevalle lammelle. Lammen rantaan menee portaat ja varmaankin siellä olisi voinut käydä aamu-uinnilla, mutta se jäi kokeilematta. Sijainti on autolla liikkuvalle hyvä, pari kilometriä Parikkalan keskustasta kuutostien varressa.
