Friendly and generous owner of Hotel

We were cycling around the archipelago and were not sure what to expect. This hotel has been transformed by the owners over many years from a derelict barn. An impressive feat.
We stayed at the end of the season and I believe there was only one other booking.
The owner was very helpful. We were able to preorder our evening meal which was very tasty. He also arranged for the breakfast to start earlier so we could eat and then have time to cycle to the ferry. We greatly appreciated this gesture.
The room was well sized and spotless. I would recommend this establishment.

Charming old barn converted to a hotel. The surrounding fields and the nature trail were pretty.
The room was clean and spacious, but smelled of the cleaning supplies which, I think, were odour-free and made the room smell like a hospital room.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, at least compared to the price of the room and the location far from any other options.

Friendly service but overpriced food

Went for a family dinner just frrst time to try restaurant.
We were hosted very nicely with a smile. At same time there was. Group of 8, and we were warned that it ight take bit longer to get a food, which was not. An issue for us.
Appertiser was very good but main course just on average - in overal; clearky overpriced.
1st visit was a bit disapppontment in terms of price/quality ratio.

Not so good Stallbacken

When we arrived there was no room even though we had booking confirmation and we had to wait a long time. Eventually we were directed to a house in the yard full of private things, warm and cozy and not nearly the standard of the room we had booked. The owner was not interested in compensating us for this but just claimed that we had received a larger accommodation. Unprofessional when they did the wrong thing
