Don’t hesitate to book! It’s amazing!

Centrally located hostel in the heart of Makati. It’s on a lively street, and we really enjoyed it! Few minute walking distance to bars, nightclubs and footspots. So be prepared for some buzz! The onsite cafe is open 24 hours too.
Excellent value for money. We had a private room with ensuite bathroom. Everything was clean. The only downside was struggling to open our suitcases as there’s not a lot of space around the bed, but we managed.
Definitely do the free walking tour around Makati and the pub crawl!! So much fun! The guides were excellent. They made our stay really memorable. Also, don’t forget to get your free rum&coke after the walking tour.

Well recommended

Couldn’t recommend more, clean, fun and well run. Enjoyed the hostels free walking tour and the pub crawl. Made friends who’m I’ll see again.
Thank you to the team, especially Jay and Jonny who looked after me and took so much time to make sure everyone had made friends and had everything that we needed. Possibly the best hostel hospitality team in my experience.

Amazing hostel experience

My experience at the Mad Monkey Manila made my whole trip to the big city (of the Philippines) so memorable and incredible. As a Canadian native, my friend and I were there for a 3 day stay weekend trip before heading south. Not only did the staff become familiar and friendly, they were knowledgeable about the customs, culture and language barrier I might have. Thursday night was a pub crawl where I got to meet other people and I highly recommend especially if you are traveling solo. Reasoning behind it is because as a Caucasian younger female I never felt unsafe. Over the next few days I always saw a friend working or in the lobby or at the Sky bar to say hello to; the vibe at this hostel is top tier- no notes. I shared a dorm with my friend so the space and bathroom was fine. Food was pretty good also and reasonable priced. Honourable mention to the workers- Riri, Jay, Mark(security) and (bartenders)- Ej, Leah, Marvin, Lynard- the owner and front desk were also pleasant to talk to. Need to add that the espresso martinis and the whiskey sours (or amaretto) are not to be slept on!

The room was available sooner for me..which was a blessing but could be cleaner. But the bed was comfy..i had a single room..clean bathroom with body wash and handsoap. And towel. Great entertainment and cheap drink options..friendly staff. Shoutout to Angelica and Jay. Definitely well located with a rooftop bar...a restaurant and cafe and a free walking tour. Also a free welcome drink and one after the free walking tour.

Mad Monkeys rarely disappoint & here's no exception, in the heart of Makatis Party district Poblacion, you'll find everything you need to have a blast. It's a very social space with a rooftop skybar/terrace & restaurant & ground floor cafe with outside patio.
I stayed in a 4 bed dorm (305) which I have to admit is very cramped, the toilet doesn't flush well & the shower head holder is damaged. Also the mattresses still have the plastic covers on so they squeak like crazy, this could be resolved by placing plywood on the top bunks which would make a sound barrier.
Other than that, great hostel, great staff, great service & you get a welcome drink when you check in.
JOIN THE MADNESS 🤣
