Hunter Arms staff went above & beyond

The manager and staff of The Hunter Arms Hotel showed incredible kindness and support during my recent stay, March 10-13. They went above and beyond to help my family, from taking time to show me rooms, to actually going to our room, packing our things, moving our luggage and my sick and elderly mother to a new room when I was called away in the middle of the night to a family emergency. They made my mother feel completely safe and comfortable and took a huge burden off my back.
The night clerk Kelly (I think was her name) also personally escorted me to my car at 2 am one night, to retrieve an Oxygen tank, and helped me parallel park right in front of the hotel. She also took time to listen to me as I unloaded some of my worries. I also appreciate them printing some important documents for me.
Before all the craziness of our stay began, my mother and I both loved the decor, charm and ambiance of this hotel. It was beautiful, clean and felt peaceful, and we both commented how we’d love to come back and bring family. It was a perfect fit for us and with the generous hospitality and support of the staff, it became a God send. The manager and staff were angels in our time of need. I will definitely be staying again and will recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Loved the character of the hotel. They have done a great job keeping it a functioning as a 100 year old hotel. Comfortable bed. Nice restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel was visually adorable - very old school WWI style. The staff was very friendly, too. The bathroom was very tiny though, and the beds were awful. If you are sleeping with someone, the entire bed moves when he/she moves. The pillows were so thick, you were in a partial seated position. They have A/C units, so make sure you don’t raise the air because it takes forever to cool back down. The worst part were the roaches. We killed several, but I found one crawling on me in the bed at night. Normally, I don’t leave reviews, but I had to warn people who might be freaked out about things like that (I couldn't sleep at all between the awful pillows and roaches). Otherwise, it’s located on a super cute block of stores-very quaint town. Check out John 3:16 coffee house. The owner was awesome, and the coffee/tea was organic and fresh/delicious. There is also a place that sells truffles that were delicious.

It was as expected for a hotel built in the mid 1920s in downtown historic St. Cloud. The people were very polite and the restaurants were amazing and very close.

Love this hotel! Clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The town has a lot of shop and great places to eat!
